I really can't say I'm surprised. I watched this one
intermittently and what I did see was the same old stuff. You
see some of these other teams (low, mid and high major) and the
ball is just zipping around, in and out, one side to the other,
guys moving without the ball and getting rewarded. Meanwhile,
our offense is just so reliant on our guys' ability to create
and make shots on their own. It's like we go into the huddle and
the plan is for so-and-so take their guy off the dribble ... and
that's it. Many of them are singular talents, and I don't think
it has anything whatsoever to do with selfishness or anything.
It's just a bad to non-existent system. It's just bad
basketball.
And look at us on the glass the last five games: -7, -12, -14,
-12 and -8. That deficiency has certainly reared its ugly head.
Was there any talk before or during the game about why Elijah
didn't play? Did he travel? Kind of inconsequential at this
point. Just curious.
We've gotta finish 7-2 to get to 20 wins. I'm skeptical.

Two games ago, we just needed to be 7-4 to get 20 – Binghamton
at home and reeling NJIT on the road looked like safe bets. So
we only needed to be 5-4 in the final 9 games, which looked 100%
certain.
The timing of the America East crap was done on purpose to
inflict maximum damage, if I’m a conspiracy theorist.

Olaniyi wasn’t on the bench. Curious that Ford didn’t play
ARoberts after he picked up his 4th late in the game, and
Jenkins sat for large stretches. I think TSM had 2 shots. Agreed
that shot selection was poor. Game was close throughout, even
though NJIT shot better than we did. We fell from 2nd to 4th in
the AE, but we’re still the Zero seed.

This team imploded and there is only one person to blame for
that, Geno Ford. He should be on their asses day in and day out
to compete. Even if they don't have a chance to make the NCAA.
They still can play other post, season tournaments. CIA, etc...

That CIA Tournament is really tough to get into regardless.
