WUSB Sports - WUSB 90.1 FM

I am starting a WUSB Sports Topic forum to provide updates on
the sports department's latest analysis, game broadcasts and
news coverage.
What is WUSB Sports?
"For starters, we host the longest-running sports call-in
program on Long Island and one of the longest-running anywhere.
The Sports Section has been in the Sunday 10 pm slot since 1981,
going to two hours in 1992. It’s been the place to go for
insights on Stony Brook and other sports you can’t find anywhere
else. We do things a little differently like the rest of WUSB,
and we’re damn proud of it!
But that’s far from the only thing we do. We are also the
longtime home of Stony Brook Patriots and Seawolves athletics,
carrying Stony Brook games since our FM transmitter first signed
on in 1977 and long before that too. Most importantly, we’ve
been there from the very first Division I men’s lacrosse
broadcast in 1989 and the premiere men’s basketball contest vs.
St. John’s in 1999. We’ve covered it all, and continue to do
so."
Today, the WUSB Sports Department plays an essential role
providing Stony Brook students and alumni opportunities in game
broadcasting, player interviews and hosting talk-shows.

Always loved WUSB. I would listen to a lot of Seawolves matchups
on WUSB.FM while I was at the Brook (2007-2012). They also had a
great Seawolves program once a week followed by the Sports
Section.

Thank you, the department is looking towards returning to that
format, with a big increase in student-athlete, coaches and
alumni interviews on the Sports Section.

following the conference's ruling. But, we want to hear from

the YouTube links added that’s posted here. Listened to the
latest one and especially on realignment… good talk!
