Nice win, after a brutal start. Green is our steadiest, best
       player IMO.

First time back in the arena in a while. Felt good.
With this one, it felt like we were in control the whole time,
and once we were up 10-12, I just didn't feel like UMBC didn't
have the horses to go on a big run. I dunno. Maybe it was just
an off night, but I wasn't afraid of Kennedy, Rogers or Owens.
They were nice secondary pieces to last year's core guys. If you
were to do a fantasy draft though, I wonder if Roberts, Jenkins,
Greene and Olaniyi would be the first four off the board.
That said, Olaniyi seems a little off. We thought he'd be our
top option offensively, but he's definitely the third guy—which
I think is what he is on a championship team. Jenkins was
outstanding, and Roberts looked like an A-10 talent in the AE
tonight. Just the 11 points but it felt like he could get what
       he wanted.
       Impossible to dislike Tykei Greene.
In the first half of the first half, I thought our shot
selection was some of the worst I'd seen. There still was too
much one-on-one ball and not enough open looks. I would love to
think that this model was sustainable against good teams, but I
fear it isn't. The last 30 minutes were marginally better.

Don't know if you noticed, but the Shumpert brothers are no
longer with the team. My sources tell me that they refused to
get the Covid booster shot, and were told that was a condition
to remain with the team. They declined. What a shame--there
seemed to be some promise there.
On a happier note, it looked like SBU's signed big center for
next season was sitting on the bench next to Christie. The info
says he is 7'2". But, when the two of them stood next to each
other he "towered" over Christie. Looks more like 7"4" to me.
Anyhow, the video I've seen of him seems to indicate he's not
only big, BUT HE CAN PLAY!!

       that must be muratori.
maybe it was clear after 16 games that they werent going to get
       minutes?
speaking of minutes, id give more to TSM. find a way.

Don't know if you all already tune into this but Athletics posts
the Post Game Press conference after each home game on youtube
       (
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCkJNA-EB4U).
       Geno goes into
two topics of interest. First being the new lineup construction.
He says in the presser that he's looking to shift playing time
towards players +/- stats. Interestingly, TSM leads the team in
overall +/- and we should see him in the starting lineup going
forward. He also is 13th in the country in offensive rating per
Kenpom. The other topic was what the teams identity is. Tykei
offered a candid response in the presser that he didnt know what
the teams identity was but Geno said he would like it to be
toughness (LOL). He said the three toughest players are Tykei,
TSM and Habwe so I'd expect them to be starting going forward.
All this being said what is our best starting 5 at this point?
Jahlil, TSM, Tykei, Habwe and Policelli? Probably will replace
Habwe with Olaniyi once he gets back in the flow of things.
Either way, Roberts coming off the bench is a pretty nice weapon
       for us.

Glad to see Geno using some form of analytics here. I've always
been a big proponent of using +/-. Like the fact that he
recognized that we're bottom 20 in the nation on defensive FG%,
and that's not a winning formula. Perhaps some hope moving
forward. Not starting Olaniyi took some guts, but even though
Policelli had his best defensive game ever IMO, Olaniyi has been
a perennial all-defensive guy in the AE, and needs to be in
       there.

hard to say who should start when you have this much depth. of
course, this is all conjecture to pass the time...
ive been saying all along habwe should be on a lot more. he
provides spark, like walker and moor did for us, at the 3. if
olaniyi is hurt (looks it, no?) this is a natural solution.
id start sayles (particularly against the bigger teams), habwe,
roberts, greene, TSM. maybe olaniyi, jenkins, jrod, off the
       bench.
the other option (i think i suggested this last year) is start
pressing teams 3/4 all 40min, and run the above lineups in and
out. if we cant beat vermont straight up, something has to
       budge.

I didn’t get to watch the game, but we went from allowing 100 to
allowing 50, so something must have worked
