Does AE have postseason ban rule for teams leaving similar to
CAA?

“At the end of the day, Monmouth, Hampton and Stony Brook are

condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak

That would be some bush league BS. Best to stay quitet on
everything though just in case the AE really does try to pull
this crap.
I'm glad we're moving up to the CAA. While I think it's true
some of the schools in the Carolinas may look to leave the CAA,
the brand perception of the CAA is stronger than the AE and
that's a big step forward I believe. My only thing is I wouldn't
mind if Vermont tagged along too. While they'd still be a thorn
in our side, they're another very strong basketball program and
would be a net positive for the CAA if they got added. The CAA
with us and Vermont becomes a very strong league. I wouldn't
rule out the possibility of it being occasionally a 2 bid league
during the right year.

limited to lacrosse- a little more commentary on this (though,
obvious):
Stony Brook football already plays in the CAA, making
this a theoretical fit for several years. Playing in an America
East conference that is generally tight at the top, Stony
Brook’s profile might not change much in the CAA.
On the women’s side, Stony Brook gains perhaps the most of any
team. Should the Seawolves join the CAA, Joe Spallina’s group
will leave an America East that generally diminishes the RPI and
postseason profile of the team. Joining the CAA would be an
immediate boon to Stony Brook’s national prospects.
Assuming this is happening… here are some interesting stats

i know i said this before and i know its unpopular here, but if
we are making moves, might be a good time to consider rebranding
altogether and a new mascot. the U is so often maligned to
begin with, that we dont need "what the H is a seawolf" to pile
on. everyone i know mocks it. no one knows what it means. i
know few who like it. it doesnt make sense. to me, at least.
and how many times are we referred to as the seahawks anyway.
go back to scarlet & grey, keep the secondary colors (navy),
revert to the classic interlocking SB, and call us the patriots.
just my opinion.

I hate the interlocking SB.
I’m fine with Seawolves. It’s unique, only one in D1, better
than being one of 500 Wildcats.
What I hate is the corny-ass “What’s a Seawolf, I’m a Seawolf!”
chant. No one wants to do it. It’s so forced and cheesy. If we
wiped that out of history and started all over again, no one
would complain. Someone in athletics needs to study all of the
power 5 schools chants and see what common trends are there to
base ours off of.

I can say it. What's a Seawolf, I am a Seawolf is so gay. I
would even run with the Herd and change it to Wolf. If I had a
dollar for every person who ever said, " Whats Sealwolf", I'm a
Seawolf'!! I'd be a Millionaire Today
