The Stony Brook Reddit page is a cesspool of the absolute worst
types of current students. I occasionally browse it out of
boredom, and the article found its way there. The comments from
current students are about as horrifying as you'd expect.

M Junior can vouch for these comments. The morale is so very
low. Most students hate this school and regret ever going.

If you are spending a significant amount of your time in reddit
while in college that's a problem. It seems like things have
changed a lot since my days at school.
This is probably the way kids share/communicate their thoughts
nowadays as opposed to getting together and socializing or
protesting for change.

i do sympathize that they are busy (i was) but i dont think
that's the issue. kids have a sat night to get to a 2 hour
bball game.
the issue is more with the type of student we get; disaffected.
no school spirit, no interest in socializing, no interest in
sports.
if you tallied up the hours on social media and texting, let me
tell you the kids aint studying as much as they think they are.
