Just a weird time right now. And a weird team we're going up
       against.
I feel like that's always going to be the case with Maine. Three
wins, all against D-III teams. They're always this Frankenstein
team with players coming from all over the world—only eight
countries this year—and the college basketball landscape, and
then they may or may not disappear soon after. They don't even
have player weights on their roster ... but don't miss those
Twitter and Instagram handles! And like, their leading scorer
averages under nine a game and shoots under 30 percent. It's
just a weird program, I'm telling you.
They had seven guys transfer out after the 20-21 year, and did
manage to snag two key pieces to this year in Masic and
Efretuei. Masic was a bit piece as a freshman at Hofstra but has
taken a leadership role with the Black Bears. Efretuei was a
nice get too, coming in last year after starting at and
graduating from UL Monroe. Journalism major [emoji106]
They're still a team that has trouble putting the ball in the
hoop. They rank 355th out of 358 teams in offensive efficiency,
and shoot just 25 percent from three in Division I games. But
after breaking 60 points just once in its first seven games,
they've done it in each of the last two, including against
Pikiell and Rutgers, which is known to be stingy defensively. A
couple freshmen made their presence felt in a three-point loss
at NJIT on Sunday, with Sam Ihekwoaba going for 18 off the bench
(good for AE ROTW honor) and Byron Ireland dropping in a
career-high 11. But it feels like these guys disappear as fast
as they appear—note nobody in double figures above. I feel like
it's just the way it goes when shooting is a scarce
commodity—some days they go; some days they don't.
Let's be realistic here though; this one's a mismatch. We've won
the last 20 games against Maine—not without some scares, but
that's completely one-sided. We haven't lost to them here since,
get this, January 8, 2009—13 years ago to the day. Spoooooooky.
OK, not really. I do feel like Maine shocks somebody in the
upper half of the league every year, but it's usually up north.
If everybody's healthy, we should really just overwhelm
them—just too much talent, too many greyhounds. It's a good spot
for Elijah to get used to game speed if he's clearedd. We're up
in Vermont next week, and they're coming off a convincing win
over UNH, which was at full strength, and our matchup will be a
       big one.
It'll definitely be good to be back. Here's hoping we can string
       a bunch of games—and wins—together here.

yes it is. its great that we have him, habwe, jrod coming off
the bench. if that's your second line that's pretty good in the
       AE.
i feel like i say this every year but t. greene should never
       come off the court.

+1/-1. Great that Elijah is back. Looks like brutal knee injury
       to Roberts.

Yeah, Roberts back great news. Our biggest prob now is getting
playing time for everybody. Looks like Christie had dropped off
grid, and TSM losing minutes to Elijah.

id just sit roberts, no? why play him at this point.
we look great when we share the ball. adjust for opponent. not
sure why maine waited until 15 down to run zone.
