Two positive takeaways from today were Sayles and Rodriguez.
Maybe Sayles is finally getting healthy? Think the athleticism
advantage we've had from greene, TSM and Policelli during our
homestand was neutralized by their athletic wings. That
shouldn't be an issue in AE play. But holy smokes who had Sayles
going 8/9 from the floor today?

while we were never really in this game, yes, there were
certainly positives. and these two were it.
agreed that our guards need to distribute a little more. i
noticed that jenkins (who's a great addition by the way) would
be better to calm down a bit. then again just eyeballing it, he
seems calm against the weaker teams and maybe it's just the
bigger games, which is completely understandable. just a
thought.

Yup, the moment wasn’t too big for either Sayles or JRod. Sayles
really finished around the rim all game (a side of him that we
haven’t seen much from this year or last) and JRod (minus 2 late
game shots) was poised throughout. Jenkins and Roberts just
tried to force things too much, and everyone else was just
overwhelmed by the moment. Definitely could have used Olaniyi’s
ACC experience today. Florida just a really talented bunch.
I too think we’ll be fine in the AE, just a tad worried about
integrating Olaniyi back into the rotation and upsetting the
applecart.

If Sayles can score 8-12 efficient points a game in conference
play (no reason why he can't), SB will be fine in the paint.

I thought JRod played at his speed the whole game. Sometimes
when Roberts and Jenkins are 70 or 50 or 30 feet from the hoop,
you can just tell that the ball's not leaving their hands.
Roberts did that a number of times today.
On to Farmingdale.
