2011/12: Game 20 Stony Brook vs Boston U - ESPNU

The game that we all waiting for. Both teams won their game
leading up to Friday so both hold to a piece of 1st place (7-1).
This game is going to be one of the best in the AE this year.
After the well played game against Hartford, I feel that Stony
Brook is coming out victorious on Friday. Lets go Seawolves!

Just gotta keep the turnovers down Friday night. We were sloppy
at times tonight, cant afford those mistakes Friday.

Friday night is going to be a good one.
If we can keep ourselves under control, we'll be ok. Our guys
are gellin at the right time, and apart from Hayes and Bracey, I
think our guys are up to game speed and look great.
I'm expecting an SBU win, but it won't be easy and it won't be a
blowout.

Our bigs got outplayed up in Boston. That cant, and I don't
think will, happen again. Hopefully the students show up and get
loud. Should be a good game.

We have to play our total game tonight. No shooting lapses,
excessive turnovers etc and we will be ok.

Same offensive droughts... This time we saved it... Largely
thanks to Boston. A lot of work to get to improve this team if
we want to get to the NCAA in March.
with that said, We got the W tonight 66-57. GO Seawolves

Got back from the game, and here are a few thoughts (snap
judgments...)
BU was ridiculous from three, and equally atrocious from the
line. Ultimately they negated each other, but it was still an
oddity.
Irving refuses to shoot, which meant that Dougher could "guard"
him the whole game without a problem. It was laughable to
watch. If he keeps that up, they'll eat him alive.
McAllister got REALLY spooked when he couldn't move the BU bigs,
and Pikiell saw it and pulled him before BU could capitalize.
Hayes was fine when he played like a PG instead of a SG. Thats
something they may want to explore, as he has absolutely no
faith in his jumper.
When SBU played an attacking style, they dominated. When they
tried to slow the pace, BU dominated.
Very impressed with the emotion the guys played with tonight.
Everyone played a part in the win. Even for Bracey. He played
"left bench" with authority...

Agreed that Hayes has some serious confidence issues shooting.
He played some solid D tonight which is why he started getting
minutes last season. Hopefully he can continue to do his thing
on the defensive end and gradually get his confidence back.
