       6-7/195 sr F KC Ndefo 7.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.3 spg, 2.3 bpg
Might have been a little overzealous on the unofficial line!
It's an interesting matchup. TBH, I thought St. Peter's was
going to come in with a far better record than 3-5, but curious
losses to the likes of LIU, Siena, and most recently to
previously winless St. Francis (Brooklyn) makes me wonder what's
happening with the Peacocks. That said, we had our puzzlers,
including the Wagner blowout, and answered with three
magnificent games. Maybe our opponent shows similar fight on
       Saturday.
I'm really surprised though. SPC was supposed to be good. I
mean, Ndefo was a first-teamer in conference last year and the
two-time defending MAAC DPOY. Long Island kid too. And then
there's Banks, who's coming off an all-MAAC third team season.
He's had some big nights for the Peacocks, including a
       career-high 26 a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure on Edert's
       availability—he missed the game against Nyack—but it's been a
week so perhaps he's at or close to 100 percent tomorrow.
One thing we haven't encountered on our recent run—with Elisias
out for Bryant—is a true shot blocker. Ndefo isn't somebody
who's going to camp under the hoop, but he's tough on his own
mark and more than willing to shade over to thwart penetration.
And Drame's no slouch in that department either. So I'm curious
if that in any way deters our willingness to go inside. We were
one of the worst two-point shooting teams in America up until
the last few games, but we've moved the ball well, and moved
better without the ball too. It just feels like there's more
       room and rhythm.
You'll note that St. Peters' KenPom is awfully close to ours,
but their NET ranking is 100 behind us. Their metrics are really
buoyed by losses to quality teams. For the wins, though, there's
Nyack, LIU (271) and Quinnipiac (250). On the flip side, we have
what I believe to be two really nice wins—at Yale and a rout of
Hofstra here. And with SPC coming off a couple horrible results?
Four seems low. But that's why there's a big city in Nevada.

I'll be taking the train out from the city to come see this one
in person. Only way to fix the attendance issue is to attend!
       Should be a good one.

It's worth noting that we've scored 79 or more points in five of
the last six games—the exception being the Wagner disaster. All
told, we're 6-1 when we hit 75, and just 0-3 when we don't
(Mason, Kansas, Wagner). I'm not sure how statistically
significant that is, but we've more or less been able to go out
and play at our pace over the last three weeks. I am curious if
we can score when teams successfully slow the tempo and get us
       into the halfcourt.
Let's keep our eyes on this game and not Florida. 5-1 would be
       an awesome homestand.

I can’t imagine Pikiell ever losing to a school like St.
Peter’s. Geno might do it twice!

Ball movement not there this first half. Bombs taken out of
rhythm. As Pav stated, need to drive to the hole, and abandon
       these out-of-rhythm shots.

what youre seeing tonight is how we lost every AE tournament
game (except that one that really counted) since 2008. greed
and impatience. no reason to think it wont happen again this
       year.
