I know Central isn't good
But it's still nice to see some good shooting. Sharing the ball.
From beginning to end.
That level of play should be good enough to get us in top tier
of the America East.
Lets go Seawolves!!!

Share the ball, move the ball, be willing to pass again for the
greater good of the team. That’s how you play basketball and
win. 17 assists. Distributed scoring. Job well done.

What a game. It was pretty nice and relaxing. And it’s even
better drinking a beer in the arena.. I just don’t get why the
turnout is so low. I don’t know what sbu has to do but hopefully
they can figure out the attendance.

You guys think covid paranoia is causing the low turnout. I
thought there would be good crowds because of the expectations
for the team this year.

I think Covid definitely is playing a role in it, but there are
many other reasons, cited in other threads. So sad to see the
student section virtually empty on both ends of the court.

i mean i havent been there so im partially guilty but eyeballing
it, this problem existed before covid. also, it exists for
outdoor sports (football obviously).
and has been a near constant for at least 25 years that i know
of.

right now it says we average just under 2k per game, and while i
think that's generous, it is a global pandemic.
also, small sample, opponents vary, etc.

but let's look at some competitors. who should we compare to,
hof? albany? they are 1828 and 3048.

I didn't watch the game live but it looks like we took care of
business against an easy opponent. Good. I'd feel better about
this team if it weren't for the Fairfield and Wagner losses. The
Fairfield one was a bad blown lead but we were never competitive
against Wagner.
The attendance issue is just disgusting. So many people
abandoned the team once Geno got hired. I was hoping that the
preseason hype would bring the fans back, but when you lose to
Fairfield and Wagner, the hype might as well have never existed.
Stony Brook students, again, continue to be the absolute worst
type of people. The school is not doing enough to brute-force
sports fandom onto its students (who often have lame
personalities), and it shows.
