Ugly, but a win is a win.
Vermont meanwhile lost to Oakland out of the Horizon league

My prediction for this season. 500 or less. I was at the game
last night and the looks on the few hundred fans who were in
attendance were alarming, and concerning. This place doe not
have that fun feeling anymore. People appear to be mad, angry,
upset, or just plain, annoyed at the direction of this
       program...
Geno Ford can ruin the best of the best college players. He
would even ruin the Kentucky team if he had to coach them for
       one season.
I hate to say it, but this coach needs to go as well. See the
trend here?? SH does not know what to do with some of the men's
coaches who are underperforming, but instead, will fine, punish,
suspend great coaches who are performing and doing great things
       for this institution.

C'mon guys. why everyone around here so angry?
Geez. Its supposed to be entertaining, not a reason to mad and
       miserable.

It's Sacred f'in Heart. We should not have needed a buzzer
beater to beat them. If we're actually as good as the preseason
standings (and I don't think we are), we should have won this by
       20. Nothing entertaining about struggling against a vastly
inferior school at all fronts. This isn't Kansas or George Mason
       anymore.

In fairness, Sacred Heart fans are saying “it’s f’in Stony
Brook.” I really don’t see why we’d be viewed any differently.
Lower-tier conference, no real postseason pedigree, indifferent
student section, and with Pikiell and Boals gone, a lack of
leadership IMO. Should we really expect to shellack a veteran
team with a veteran coach? I can tell you it isn’t happening
       tomorrow either.
Definitely not mad or miserable—it’s just sports after all. I
like the quote “It takes a real storm in the average person's
life to make him realize how much worrying he has done over the
squalls.” But I think it’s fair for fans to be frustrated with
       the direction this is going.

Not always. This one point “win” against a team with a 324 rpi
       dragged SBU’s rpi down.

Bingo. People are starting to get infuriated and frustrated at
the direction of the athletic programs. This is a good thing.
Voices need to be heard, loud and clear. Once it gets to the
President's ears, then maybe, just maybe changes will be made.
But, I'm not even sure if she cares about sports at all to make
       any meaningful changes.

i have to agree with some of the posts above.
this is not what the program wants (or any program for that
matter!), a wild three in traffic as the buzzer rings, when you
only need a layup to avoid OT, to beat 2-3 sacred heart, at
       home.
this poor shot selection sums up perhaps the last 5 seasons.

RPI is beyond insignificant for most/all America East teams.
Yeah, it may change our NCAA Tournament seeding, but that is
putting the cart way ahead of the horse.
