(Guards): Toby Onyekonu, Kaine Roberts, Dean Noll, Tyler
Stephenson-Moore, Tanahj Pettway, Aaron Clark
(Wings): Frankie Policelli, Sabry Philip, Tykei Greene (??? Hope
Springs Eternal)
(Power Forwards): Keenan Sarvan, Leon Nahar, Keenan Fitzmorris
(Center): Rocco Muratori
Just one longshot wild card: Anthony Roberts is neither in the
Transfer Portal nor the official list applying for NBA draft
consideration. So, who knows??

Could go big with Greene TSM policelli sarvan fitzsimmons. But i
assume the lineup will go clarke/noll Greene tsm policelli
sarvan. TSM and Greene are interchangeable as a guard or a wing.
Just for fun Geno could throw out a massive twin tower 7 foot
lineup sarvan at 3. Lot of lineup versatility on the surface
which the team lacked last year with the stale small ball stuff.

im for anyone that will pass the ball. if that means more bigs
(who tend to shoot less or take higher % shots) on the floor,
then do it.
the evidence is in. what we've done for 15 years is not
working. well, it worked once. but id argue that times we had
more bigs on the floor.

Totally agree, but it won't change with current coach. And btw,
the one time it worked we had Warney - it wasn't passing the
ball or coaching (although give a coaching a plus for recruiting
Warney).

Warney was a very good passer from the post, and the only high %
big from the field SB ever had (that I can think of).
Hard to keep up with all the new moves (and I am sure Ford will
use it as an excuse when the year starts), but if SB reverts to
step-back threes and DIY drives to the basket, it won't matter
and we can expect the same next year. That said, hopefully the
new talent will be legit and Ford adapts accordingly.

I knew this season was f*cked when Geno was openly bragging to
the media before the year even started about how we didn’t need
to play defense because we were just going to outshoot everyone
and score 80 per game. You’d think he’d learn his lesson by now
but he’s shown no sign of it.

Geno Ford sucks as an HC and SBU deserve to have him. Obviously,
this is the direction SH and SBU want to go. Recruit players for
their academics, but who cares how they perform on the court.
I'd bet my ranch SBMB will be on the bottom of the CAA in this
up-and-coming season.

We know he hasn't made the rotation at Stanford, but he's only
had 2 years playing years and missed his junior season with an
injury. He'll have 2 years left at Stony Brook with a medical
redshirt for last year. It's an unknown commodity, but we
already have a safe bet with Sarvan. I like it

I'll stand by my comments, but for the sake of Stony Brook
basketball, I hope you're right. It's hard being an alum, seeing
the school come somewhat close every year, only for one or two
things to ruin the entire season. And it really does not help
that they have an HC who is better off working as a fixer for
politicians, or as a PR spokesperson for some big-time company,
because he has multiple personalities, and spews bullshit. It's
a sad state for the team, even with the excitement of moving up
to the CAA.
