O.K. I'm officially confused. The Seawolves just got another
MBB commitment for '22. You'll never guess the position they
went after. Here's a big hint:
The team currently includes 6'10" Kenan Sarvan, 6'10" Leon Nahar
and 7'3" Rocco Muratori. Currently, the only Wing/SF is
Policelli. So, the need is obvious, right? Therefore, the
addition is 7'0" Keenan Fitzmorris, a graduate transfer out of
Stanford!!!

My guess is that that the practice player role mentioned in the
link is the operative one. But, is it worth spending a schooly
slot for it?

i think with covid years and the transfer portal, you'll get a
glut sometimes.
with that said, we need more paint players and less outside
shooters. im all for it. (it works for vermont no? i argue
they're doing something right)
it also could be insurance in case one of the other bigs doesnt
pan out.
OR, since there is a transfer portal, one of them transfers next
spring when he realizes he isnt playing and can just join his
buddies on the waiver wire. free agency for all.
id be curious what you guys think- drop vermont into the CAA;
they dont dominate but do they win it, let's say, every 2-3
years?

Honestly Vermont is a well coached team… solid Xs and Os. Having
said that they benefit a lot being in horrible AE conference.
They don’t get challenged much including from us. Despite what
their fans on AE board thinks, that they are Big East level lol,
Vermont will get chewed up in CAA and tbh we will too. For all
their winnings, Vermont danced three times last decade. Not that
dominant.
As for us, I’m worried we will be in bottom third of the table
in CAA. If Vermont was in CAA, they would be in the middle of
the table and will get knocked out in CAA tournament without
home court advantage.

What the…
I get that his stock has fallen a lot but holy crap, he was once
the 13th highest ranked center recruit in his year! And we’re
getting 7 foot STANFORD transfers. That definitely is
unprecedented.
Maybe I’m being blinded by the name value and everything and
he’s not great. I just want to be excited.

I actually like this signing. I think despite being 6' 10"
Nahar's game is as a wing - at least that's my take on few
highlights I've seen. Muratori is surely going to be a project
or he'd be playing in a power conference.
I see the starting center job going to either Sarvan or
Fitzmorris. Who wins the job - the guy with the proven track
record in D1 albeit on one of the worst teams in the country? Or
the highly touted recruit who struggled to find playing time in
the Pac12?
