Is he any good?? I recall Petrus coming from Europe and he was
       horrible.

I’m usually skeptical on incoming guys, particularly with size,
particularly when they’re highlights and when the competition
might not be great but … I kinda like this kid! It looks like he
has a good looking jumper, looks comfortable rolling to the
basket, can spot up or play down low, soft touch around the
hoop, not afraid of contact, and it looks like he can put the
ball on the floor some too. Anybody seeing that also?

Sorry: I previously posted this in the wrong topic.
The Seawolves have just received a commitment from '22 C Rocco
Muratori from W. Lafayette, IN. He's 7'4" tall!! Anyhow,
although he doesn't look all that polished at this point, he
clearly has potential. Once the training staff gets hold of
him--WHO KNOWS?? Anyhow, as they say, "You can't teach7'4"".

He seemed plenty polished to me, especially for a 7’+ high
schooler. His moves around the basket were smooth and confident.
I imagine there’s more to the story…otherwise, why SBU.

Interesting to note that SBU was his only reported offer.

I heard he's still growing, so a 7'4"-plus guy is nice; could
have used him for the upcoming season, after the departure of
Mo. Also, if he has any ability, he'll be gone after his
freshman year for sure. Unfortunately, that's the world we live
       in now.

You never know. Most bigs that size don't ever materialize. Look
at SBU Christy. He is 7'-0" and is horrendous. Lets give this
kid a chance to show his skills. Maybe Ford found a diamond ina
       rough.

a large paint player in the AE is what... 6'9''? maybe 6'11''?
this is a distinct advantage; unless, of course, you are a (a)
headcase, or (b) liability with the ball.
hope he has a foul shot because defenses can't do much to stop
       someone with arms like that.

Nobody over 6-10 in the AE amounts to anything. They’re here and
       not elsewhere for a reason.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
