       2021 Spring Season - Game 4 @ Albany - 1PM Flo Sports
By: ecasadoSBU Date: March 23, 2021, 7:46 pm

Ok. No way to keep quiet at this point. This Spring season is
turning out to be a disaster.
Now we get the reward of having to go up and face our biggest
rival in the CAA.... @ Albany
I don't believe in miracles... but if they do exist please help
       us BEAT ALBANY!
       OR
Go 0-6 and get coach P canned... you tell me? Which one is best
       for our future?

If SBU goes 0-6, which honestly is a possibility at this point,
they’ll have lost the last 10 games, and the next chance at a
win would come on 9/4/21 versus UNH. A winless spring season
would mean 679 days between the win at Nova In ‘19 and opening
day versus UNH. That’s beyond embarrassing.

Can we afford to fire his ass? I'd gladly lose to Albany 70-0 if
it meant Coach P finally got canned, but that's unlikely to
happen, nor do I think this team is THAT bad to lose to them by
       that much.

Afford? Probably not. In 2019 he made $465,000. Let's assume he
got the same for 2020 he made a couple thousand increase. 2021
is gonna be interesting to see how much he makes because they're
playing two seasons, more games mean more work on and off the
field (HA), which might lead to a pay increase. Depending on how
much of his '21 pay has already be dolled out by the end of
April when the FCS spring season ends, going based off the
$465,000 a year, divided by 12 months, then multiplied by 4
(January-April), Chuck is estimated to have been paid $155,000
by the end of the spring season, leaving another $310,000 for
the remainder of the year, plus the $465,000 for '22 which is
the final year of his contract. Right now SBU can't afford to
fire Chuck and pay out the remaining $775,000, I'm guessing
there's some bonus money in there we don't know about - Too lazy
to Foil his contract, most likely he plays out the Fall '21
season and if they're still shit, and SH can come up with the
money, he'll be gone then. Otherwise, '22 will be his last.
Don't be surprised to immediately see him head to Penn as the OC
       or something like that.

The new AD will be hiring two new coaches at least. Football may
be the first. Is SH done at the end of this year? Waht about RE?
Dept is doomed under those two guys. Fiore could raise money and
hire talent. These guys need to go.

Per the Week 4 program, SBU's backup QB today is freshman Drew
       Guttieri.

I'm sorry fellas, but Fields is horrible and absolutely,
positely should not be a starting QB in the league

No line to protect him and wr's who drop the ball. Ty is a very
good QB. He could start at a much better program.

I 100% agree with the first part, the line is not doing its job
aside for Nunez and Catapano, and the WR's are having the ball
slip right through their hands. But Fields has also overthrown
on a couple of plays and makes a bad pass more often than we'd
like to see. He's better than Carbone ever was, but I'm not sure
he could start at much better programs.

I expect High School varsity football to run the ball the
majority of times, but not in College.
