I'm curious why this score for your prediction? Going to ask the
same question to others, so please don't feel like I'm picking
on you or whatnot, just very interested in hearing people's
explanations/gut feelings for this week's game.

Whats up boys. I'm trying to get back here more regularly. I'm
still a Seawolves at heart but when life gets on the way we grow
a bit distant from the things we are passionate about. I hope
everyone is staying safe so that we can return to LaValle this
       Fall 2021!
Glad to see the loyals are here during the good and bad (ie:
       chair and hammer).
In regards to the game, predictions anyone?

Delaware destroyed Maine so, My guess would be SB loses. It wont
be a blowout but we lose by two touchdowns.

Delaware isn’t as good as Villanova and they were gifted at
least 3 scores. We were missing some of our players and they are
back this week. Wind played a big part in last weeks loss for us
       as well as ‘Nova.

Our defense is not as good as in past years. Our qb has no
receivers to throw to and our running game appears to be absent
this season. I think the defense will have a big play a the
other end and thats why I said we will score two points. Let's
all post our predictions and see who is closest. It will be fun
       to see on Saturday.

An interesting fact I just realized, SBU has not a won football
game in 503 days. The last win came on October 26, 2019, at
Villanova. Is tomorrow the day they break the streak? Probably
not. A loss tomorrow would make it six straight losses for Chuck
       and Co.

And it won't matter at all. Chucky could go winless this season
and next and still have a job. Give coaches stupid contract
extensions who are clearly on the spiral downhill, this is what
       happens.

Found this comment, and reply, on the UD forum. They all expect
an easy Blue Hen win, as they should.
"I have never been impressed with the overall athleticism of any
Stony Brook team we've played. What I have noticed is that
they're typically full of tough kids with just enough athletes
mixed in to make them hard to beat. We should win but I think
it's unwise to overlook this team."
The response from a person who appears to be their version of
Chairman, at least in terms of longevity on the forum and number
       of posts.
"Appreciate the thoughts. CoW (nice screen name, BTW), but I
think you are giving Stony Brook too much credit for their 10-3
2017 campaign. SB is 12-12 over the last 2 years (5-7 last
year)...with some pretty ugly losses...62-7 vs. Utah St., 31-10
vs, Richmond, 31-14 vs. Towson, 38-0 vs, Air Force, 52-28 vs.
Towson. And they were 5-6 n 2016...with a 43-14 loss to UNH and
a 38-10 loss to Sacred Heart.
And their 7-5 2018 team gave away a game to SEMO where they
surrendered 28 points in the 3rd quarter....embarrassing the CAA
(after all, a 7-4 CAA team should handle an 8-3 OVC
team...right?). So, figure 5-8 since that embarrassing loss.
You ae correct that they seem to sometimes stay close to some
teams...but they also get blown out when they lose focus. The,
"just enough athletes...hard to beat" theme seems to disappear
against better teams that simply take care of business.
Our Hens have no business losing to this team...or even allowing
this Stony Brook team to stick around.
Seriously...either we are a good team (which puts away blah
Stony Brook teams), or we are a blah team.
I am betting (and hoping) we are a good team.
And, with the JMU Covid-Dukes having QB problems and losing a
sh*t ton of talent through injury, transfers, and the draft, we
could actually WIN the CAA (heaven forbid anyone actually
expecting our spring 2021 Hens to win...oh, my!!!).
Must be an age thing...I keep hearing older fans say they
enjoyed the expectation to win and/or compete every year under
Tubby...but if someone expects that under Rocco, you hear some
garbage about...well, I am sure you can read the excuses.
In any case, I expect our Hens to win tomorrow. Bigly.
Frankly, from my conversations with the players, they expect to
win a lot...NOW. And certainly their expectations are more that
than some of our, "loyal" fans.
Any serious fans should ask why we have such low expectations
       (the answer is obvious).
38-10...with a lot of our players getting time on the field
(including our back-up QB tossing the piggy...oh my!).
The CAA North looks to be a 2-way race between nova and UD. The
rest of the teams...meh (at best).
       Go Hens!"

This guy is spot on and he isn't even an SB fan. He doesn't have
to be. Coach P stats speak for themselves.
SB was good in the early days when Hofstra abandoned their
football team and SB had a bunch of talented players comes
knocking. The players that wanted to stay close to home that is.
When they graduated, Hence, Stacey Baddel, SB had to rely on
recruiting, and that is their weak link.
This issue is not and will not go away until there is a change
at the top. Until that happens. Get used to 500 or sub 500
       seasons.
