> The men's basketball season came to an end Saturday in the
America East playoffs with a narrow two-point loss to UMass
Lowell. For a program that has averaged 20.7 wins since 2014-15
entering this season, including a 20-win campaign in 2019-20,
the results of this season fell below our high standards.
>
> Having said that, the 2020-21 season was unlike any other. We
incorporated several new players without the benefit of a summer
program while managing the back-to-back conference format. There
are no excuses for a 9-14 record. Geno Ford expects to win more
games, and I expect to win more games. Both of us share the
expectation that we will be back to our winning ways in 2021-22.
We know what we need to do in order to be more successful, and
we have the talent on our team to make it happen. I'm extremely
proud of how hard our guys competed all year and am excited to
see them back on the court (along with some key newcomers — and
our fans!) in November.

SH is being played by his HC. Every one knows who GF is. CAnt
recruit and cant keep players. GF has never been able to keep
players. I am curious in his career how many of his recruits
stayed with him for four years and graduated. I would guss its
not that many.
Can't really answer that one because he only stayed four years
at a HC gig once....

Ford is crap and needs to go. We won't win sh*t until he's gone.
He's worse for basketball than Coach P ever was for football.
Get him OUT

Umm, you sure about that? So far two are gone, and there's a
decent chance all leave, tying with last years number. So far
Geno has seen 10 players leave/enter the portal since taking
over.
Well. no. I was wrong. I can see Mo leaving. GF is really bad.
SH deserves him. Everything is great though. Just great. :)

Roster is dwindling. I thought LES brought good energy off the
bench.

Agreed. Geno didn't use him nearly enough. This is the tip of
the iceberg, unfortunately.

Expect the same mass exodus of 2020 to rear its ugly head this
year between now and the day after underclassman have to pull
out of the draft process.

No worries. Geno will fill the roster with D2 and D3 transfers

id feel good if we have players that will share the ball and
make good shooting decisions.

Another year with a more normal off season may yield more
chemistry on the floor. But maybe that is me being optimistic.
