I'm with you on this. I'd much rather see a crazy defensive
showing than a shootout with zero defense. We get that in the
NBA All-Star game, don't need it in a regular-season college
game.

agreed. i thought the NBA was, at times, unwatchable without
zone defense. to some extent, it still is unwatchable.

rather watch a game 62-56 or 82-76? The 82-76 games are a lot
more exciting for fans, as long as we have more points.”

I'm sure everyone's enthused to hear that, Geno.

This guy is a clown.

How were we picked to win the AE with the coach talking this
nonsense?? I knew I should have been WAY more critical when we
started getting hype. Olaniyi coming back along with getting a
couple transfers doesn't change the fact that Geno can't coach.

on the comment about having to make a lot threes... what do we
think that is, like ~11 per game?
and since we all know that will take us like 35 or more attempts
per game, who is going to fight for those 24 boards??? all five
guards???

A win is a win, no matter what the score is. The point is to
outscore, no matter how you get there. If we have the personnel
to play high-scoring games, then I'm all for it. If our
personnel tells us to defend to the end, then I'm all for it
too.
What I'm not for is what we saw against George Mason. That felt
like a vision without a plan.
(That being said, George Mason is 3-0 with three blowouts, so
they might be much better than we originally thought).

Mason takes down ranked Maryland at college park and gets paid!
Turgeon can recruit very well, but never found him excelling in
coaching.

That GMU team might really be something. They haven't done all
that much since that Final Four in 06, but to start the way they
have? There might be something there. I'll keep an eye on them.
