Here's Geno Ford talking to Andy Katz about the team's top
preseason ranking:

I think Ford's challenges this year will be getting minutes for
a pretty deep team (esp at the guard positions), and not really
have a traditional center (Sayles is more of a 4). Should be
interesting, and lots of pressure on Ford to produce and live up
to the pre-season rankings for sure.
As I stated in another thread, I don't understand why they moved
all the weekday games to 6:30 starts; I can't see that helping
attendance.

It'll be really interesting what happens when Sayles sits.
I can see a really small ball team without a 5, but with
Policelli and Greene acting as the "bigs".

Would have to think Policelli Greene Habwe will play more in the
paint.

We really haven't seen much from Christie in his time here. And
I'm not sure we will this year either. I just wonder if he can
give us even Petras-like production. Petras was a ball of energy
and I don't think that's Christie's thing, but if he can give us
8-10 solid minutes a night, get on the glass, and protect the
rim a bit, that'd be a real nice way for him to finish up.
That said, I feel like depth is going to be a big strength, and
maybe we can piece it together with 6-7 athletes rather than
traditional size.

I don't think Christie is going to be like a Petras in his final
year of college ball. He just doesn't have that fire in him. But
hey, you never know.

Anybody know how the secret scrimmage went against LUI on
Saturday?
I know we have another one against Monroe College this coming
Saturday.
