It's time for Shawn and Rob to go. The turnover inside that
department has been constant over the past seven years and Rob
cant raise money. He is also the one who hires staff. Horrible
track record. The Adam Rubin experiment being just the recent
debacle. Shawn tolerates that, likely because of tenure and
       union protection. A shame.

I often wondered about that. Most state workers are in a union
and have tenure after 7 years. But when it comes to sports, I
think that is not the case. So, every coach or assistant who has
tenure cant be let go because the union protects them? I was
told years ago that is not the case with sports, and that
coaches are not part of the state pension system. But I really
don't know if this is true or not.

Very quiet regarding Saturday’s game up at Colgate. This is a
game we should win by a wide margin. Colgate has been down the
last two years (although their QB is pretty good).
No sleepwalking through the first half like last week.

Us and UC Davis are the only public school members of the AAU
who are in the FCS. Everyone else is FBS with most being in P5
conferences. We shouldn't be where we are at. Full stop.
Hopefully this Big 12 thing opens some door somewhere, but we
could have an AAC invite staring us in the face and our
leadership still wouldn't have the slightest clue WTF to do
       about it.

10 years ago I was at this game vs Coastal Carolina
  HTML https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/313022619
Now Coastal Carolina is a nationally ranked FBS program and
we're trying to .500 in the FCS. The state of this program is
       deeply disappointing.
That said, I still feel strongly Stony Brook should be an FBS
       program.

I remember that game. Torrential downpour, awful field
conditions. Didn't matter, we slapped them. Now look at our
program. Liberty too was ranked last year. These are both
programs we used to frequently beat when we were in the Big
South. How far we've fallen is pathetic.

This athletics administration team of SH and RE are in my
opinion hapless, and helpless. One is a protected state
employee who runs the clown show, can't raise money and can't
hire/manage quality staff, and the other is the failed AD who
told Newsday his five year fundraising goal was $100 million.
Seven years in, and i doubt, if you back out Dubin's money, they
raised $6 mill over the past seven years. I don't know, but I'm
sure I wouldnt be far off. Take a look at LaValle. It's a
       crumbling mess.

Heilbron should retire and become a cheerleader for the school.
It’s the only thing he’s good at. Inspirational optimistic
messages on Twitter. No actual substance or effort in actual
       changes.

Oregon upsets #3 Ohio State on the road today. I anticipate
they'll be a top 5 team ahead of our game against them next
       week.
Not like it would really matter, but I'd rather get them coming
off of a win than off of a loss. With the W today, they'll
hopefully rest their banged up players like Thibodeaux who could
easily be the first player off the board in the 2022 NFL draft.
Maybe without him we only lose by 50 instead of by 60.
