The stagnant nature of this program is obvious. The offense has
not adapted with the times. I see Presbyterian hire an
innovative coach anc their QB throws 10 TD passes. If they have
another losing season this has to be it for Priore

His contract runs through the '22 season, but we all know
coaches in basically every sport do not stay with their current
program or team if they're on the final year of a deal. Yes,
there are rare exceptions, but in most cases, it ends up with
both parties parting ways or a contract extension, and in this
case, the athletic department would be fools to extend an
asshole who is a one-trick pony. Gonna run the football a lot.
That's what SBU is known for, and that hasn't worked out so well
recently. Plus, Chuck usually gets an extension two years before
his deal is set to expire, and we're past that point already, so
maybe, just maybe, SH is letting him coach out the rest of the
year and then buyout the remaining year.

If Chucky Cheese contract is extended and he gets another long
deal contact. I will never, ever, attend or watch another
football game again. SH will get an earful from me as well.

Chucky Cheese is a hack and should have been canned a long time
ago. SH knows my feelings about this situation, and I've spoken
to him, one on one, in private about this. If SH decides to
continue p contract, then he is not a man of his word and should
be let go as well.

Agreed- I've been closely following this team since 2006 and its
just been a steady downhill trajectory with blips of success. If
SH is serious about football here, a change needs to be made.
We will see what the basketball program does but I'm 1000x more
optimistic about that program (even with the relative downturn
the last couple years) than the football product

A university with SBU’s size, stature, and facilities should
consistently be a Top 10 program

Randy Edsall is stepping down at Uconn after starting 0-2.
I'm hoping that Priore learns from him

"I'm hoping that Priore learns from him"!! Why would Priore ever
step down? There's no pressure for him to step down. 18 years
with the school. low-level FCS coach. No pressure to win games
because this school is in the FCS, and nobody cares. A school
that prides itself on academics first, sports last. Priore will
most likely stay as HC until he can't coach anymore. Maybe
sometime in his mid 60's will he retire. Then the school will
honor him as being the best HC SBU has ever had. Come on man.
This is SBU we al talking about!!!!

Sadly all of that seems highly probable.
