The issue was that the staff that handled all of ticket sales
and other things was short by 10 people as at least that many
left to go elsewhere so it took a while to get new hires in
place

I understand that and I was told the same thing. Why wasn't any
metrics in place to replace these people as they were leaving.
Did all 10 workers leave at the same time? I think not. There is
a big problem going on at the Brook and eventually, what doesn't
come out in Wash will come out in the Rinse. Heads need to roll.
I am expecting an empty stadium this season.

SBU has 3 Prospect Camps that will take place on July 24th 5:00,
July 25th 11:00 and July 31st 2:00 and there will be some really
good talent in attendance so if you want to see some future
Seawolves you should stop down.
Also on the 31st SBU will be holding its 7 on 7 and 18 HS Teams
will be there usually it’s more however because of the Covid-19
Tents on Campus that’s all they could fit this year. What they
are doing different this year while the Skills Players are doing
the 7 on 7 their linemen will be training separately
SBU will be announcing their Coaching Staff shortly and there
will be a surprise addition

Campi. Any idea if any HS can just come down to SBU on the 31st
and play? My son is a senior starting slot receiver and CB for
WM, and he hasn't mentioned anything about SBU doing a 7 on 7.
Was it an invite thing??

The HS had to register in advance for the 7 on 7 and this year
because the COVID 19 Tents are still up were limited to only 18
Teams. What he can do is after the 7 on 7 is over they are
having a Prospect Camp that starts at 2:00PM ant SBU invites a
bunch of DII/DIII Colleges to attend the cost very reasonable
$70. They also are having a Camp on the 24th at 5:00PM and the
25th at 11:00AM. He can register on line and I have seen your
son play and I thing he can play at the next level it's just a
matter of where. I think he would be a really good SB and S/T
Player

Thanks, Campi. I actually reached out to my boy this morning,
while he was at football camp. He asked the coach about the 7 on
7. WM coach, who I like a lot, doesn't want to do the SBU camp
because a lot of kids who play football also play Lax. I don't
get his reasoning. A lot of kids who play lax for WM get some
money for scholarships. maybe not a ton but it is better than
nothing. Where as most WM football players don't get any
scholarship money for football. That can fall partially on the
HC. He isn't doing his job to get our kids noticed enough.
Going to one of SBU 7 on 7 opens up exposure for our boys. I'll
definitely mention to my boy about the prospect camp on the 24th
and r 25th.
Thanks for the info, Campi..

When you go to the Stony Brook website and click on Athletics
then Sports then Inside Athletics then Camps then ciick on Chuck
Priore Camps then there’s a box and when you click on it you
will be able to sign Nolan up it sounds a little annoying but it
actually goes faster than it sounds
