Completely disagree on the selfishness and ego points. Our guys
needed someone to tell them what to do, put them in a position
to be successful, and hope that they can execute. Ford did not
provide that leadership today, nor did I see much of that all
season. We flowed like molasses on offense.

Today? He can't coach. He has checked out. The players don't
respect him. That's why everyone left last year. I gave up our
season tickets after the last playoff loss. I had no
expectations for yesterday's game, other than the final outcome.
It was very predictable. He should have been fired before he
got on the bus to come home.

Step back and look at this program over the past three years.
Look at the players who have left, especially last year. Unheard
of. Look at the results of this coach. Why would ANYONE want to
come here, if they're halfway decent? It's long been
established that Geno is not the guy. The problem starts with
him. It ends with him. He conned his way into this job.
       Embarrassing.

Sadly, I agree. It wasn't that long ago that SB was getting a
small measure of national recognition as a team worthy of top 50
discussion. Now, they are one of the worst programs in the
country. Since Coach P, SB is 2-5 in AE conference tournament
play, which includes two of the worst losses in the program's
       history.

Although I agree with these Geno sentiments, nothing will
happen. SBU cannot afford his buyout in these economic times.
On a different note, I wonder if Garcia, Olaniyi, Foreman,
Latimer, and Otchere are second-guessing their decisions.
Unless their respective schools somehow win their conference
tournaments outright, none of them with make the ncaa tournament
(GA may have a shot at NIT). Sure, they played against better
competition, but they played in front of no fans, and forfeited
a chance to do something special at SBU (although their track
record in that regard would indicate otherwise).

       great points.
this year has been a disappointment by any measure. you could
see this team was out of gas a month ago. i think we finished
losing something like 10 of 13.
i just cant get away from analytics. did we do any? do we look
at stats*? if yes, why no adjustment. if no, why no.
there's a middle ground here- we did look, and we did adjust,
but the players weren't disciplined enough to adhere to the
       adjustments.
(*we must have, considering ford's recent comments on shooting)

Agreed. I feel the same as you. Ford slithered his way into
being the HC because of Boals. But he is no Boals. I will not
renew my season tickets for BB until Ford is gone. His track
record at Akron is enough to see, he is a hack and not a HC.

former Athletic Director. Speaking of. SH needs to go also. All

I'm in touch with two of them, regularly. They do not regret
their decision. They left because of the HC. They are much
happier, and they are sad at what the program here, has become.

Administrators in that department don't even speak with season
ticket holders who sit opposite the bench. For years, they walk
in, cross the court by the band, under the basket. They can't
raise money. Season ticket sales are down, annually. The
program is horrible. They are out of touch with the fanbase,
and I don't even think they care.
