didnt watch but my take is- the same exact thing that happened
to us last year, did us in this year. selfish play and big
egos, failure to pass or analyze where the high % shots are.
and look at the result- with all the advantages, the facilities,
the scholarships, the talent- and we collapse in the 1st round
to an opponent we should rarely lose to.
just substitute last year's player for this one.

Habwe would have helped today. I believe the announcers said
policelli was dealing with a groin injury the last month. Could
explain his lack of burst or quickness. Even with all that this
team had more talent than a 7 seed and more talent than a 1st rd
exit. Need to also look beyond the juco route get some High
school guys who will grow in the program.

Quote from Geno -> ""I think the game was poetic. It was our
season," coach Geno Ford said. "We just could never get anything
sustained offensively."
Final Season Team Stats:
FG %: 41.2%
3pt FG %: 29.6%
FT %: 68.2%
TO/game: 13.9

I just watched some of this game. But I’ve seen enough games
that, unless you recruit guys named Curry or Lillard, the
jumper’s not going in if you’re closely guarded. And I’ve got
little faith in what I’ve seen that Geno can design an offense
that’ll get open shots for his players.
Just literally copy Nate Oats’ offense. Or Mark Few. Or Google
Eric Bridgeland, who coached at Whitman U in Walla Walla and set
scoring records. The answers are out there to make it easier for
your kids to score.

Completely disagree on the selfishness and ego points. Our guys
needed someone to tell them what to do, put them in a position
to be successful, and hope that they can execute. Ford did not
provide that leadership today, nor did I see much of that all
season. We flowed like molasses on offense.

They played hard just a very raw team with little experience
they needed to be guided they were for 20 minutes today.

It’s worth peeking at the portal now. Green Bay lost Thursday
night and four guys are in there already, including their two
leading scorers. There’s more continuity here than there, with
Geno, Weber, etc, having been here a while, but still, that
grass has to look pretty green to some of these guys.

sure, we can disagree. we all see different things when we
watch.
in fact, i think that both are true and not mutually exclusive;
we needed some leadership/coaching, and less selfishness.

If anyone thinks the Portal or JUCO transfers is the answer, you
are flat out wrong. Those kids ALL have baggage. The answer is
to work your ass off recruiting the right high school kids and
get them into the program. I don't wanna hear that it won't
work. It's how the two best teams in the league have done it.

Just because a player is JUCO or transferring, does not mean
they have baggage. Sometimes it really is not the right
situation for them.
