Wow. Stony Brook shot themselves in the foot in the second half.
Coaching mistake, rookie mistake , you name it. This team is raw
       as an onion.

If Geno had only a year left on his deal, today's loss would
definitely get him canned. Sadly, he has three years left and
he'll come out and say something along the lines of "tough loss,
       but next year"

Correction. If Geno had 1 year left on his contract. Heilbron
would extend it 3 more years after this game.

I’ve been watching SBU b-ball for many, many years, and that is
the 2nd biggest big game collapse since the loss to BU in the
finals, imo. No question, Geno should be fired after blowing a
14-pt halftime lead, but it’ll never happen with state of the NY
economy. Hate to rip on players because they are just kids, and
try their best, but Policelli has to be the biggest
disappointment of the season. Just a poor team, with poor
coaching, after a horrible Covid-ridden season.

That last play by Lowell ... best player at the elbow against
McKenzie, nobody behind him. Easy pickins. Perfect execution.
Ford isn’t capable of drawing that up. I was fine with the
Greene shot – about what you can expect with .8 on the clock.
The earlier inbounds play from Policelli was not an easy pass.
       JRod was blanketed.
Zero shooting in the second half and we missed some bunnies. The
“gee golly gosh the ball just didn’t go in” crap isn’t what I
want to hear from Ford. We got outplayed and we’re lucky to have
       a shot at the end.
I’m curious what this team looks like in the fall. Can’t imagine
Gueye stays ... but never know. You had to appreciate the growth
he showed in the second half of the season.

You sir, are 100% correct. I have no intentions of renewing my
BB season tickets, when the Emperor permits, until Geno leaves.

I think we may have thought we were getting a steal – an A-10
caliber player in the AE. But he’s an AE talent, which isn’t to
say he can’t have a nice career here, but not this savior
either. He actually kept us in the game in the second half.
Sayles with a single point. Very underwhelming second half to
       his season.
Zero assists in the second half. Thomas had two killer threes in
the comeback off assists. We didn’t have any of that all year.
It’s crazy to think that literally everybody can pick up and
       leave right now.

Will be a nice player but he needs to rein in the shots. Maybe a
       coach should tell him that.

Unquestionably, Policelli is the best FT shooter on the team,
and his FT's kept us in the game, and probably avoided a
blowout. It's the other things he doesn't do: bad shot
selection, missed rebounds, late on moving his feet on D, poor
passing in the lane, etc. Sayles was a total no-show today,
maybe he's still hurting. With nothing to build on, easy to see
Mo, Sayles, Habwe all leaving. Greene and JRod always
possibilities, but prob not due to graduation requirements.
Although I put a lot of fault on Geno for not getting more out
of this bunch, we lost this season imo, after all the 5
transfers of last season. Life goes on.
