Kinda sad that SBU is down 5 this late in the game. Forcing
three's although they've cut back, can't even convert 50% of
their free throws. Mo is having a rough game. Why is Geno the
coach? What does he bring to this team.

I don't like all these mid-range jumpers. We did so well
yesterday getting it into the middle and find a cutter or go to
the rack but today just too many 15-footers and not enough
cutting. I'd love to see our shot chart.

Such a lucky win. Policelli and Habwe with outstanding games.
JRod with some clutch shots but also some huge misses. Mo with
his worst game by far as a Seawolf. Our perimeter D was horrific
(hats off to some good Bing shooting too). Way to many long
range jumpers from us today.

Policelli needs to be more aggresive mo and Jrod continue to
make questionable decisions constantly.

Greene, who quietly gets it done on both ends, is our most
important and best player to date, imo.

A real positive weekend for us. I’m not saying we’re world
beaters but I think we showed a little bit more of an identity
than the non-con schedule when it just felt like something was
off. I like the six we finished the game with – a mix of
shooters, bigs and energy. It’s interesting with a week off how
coaches can leave their starters in longer – big minutes from a
bunch of guys.
I’m still not totally sold though. We got a weakened Binghamton
team with Bruce out. Lowell’s a nice follow-up to these two
games though – two more that you can argue we should win. We get
them after a midweek back to back with Vermont too.
Interesting DNP-CD for Diallo. It seems like LES has leapfrogged
him and I’m good with that. It’s pretty amazing to think that
nobody in our starting lineup played a minute for us last year.
Three sweeps this weekend in the AE.
Foreman hit the game-winner for Cal last weekend and followed it
up with a game high 23 last night in another W. Love him or hate
him, or any of the others who left, it’s fun to see them test
themselves at a higher level.

My two cents:
This team isn't bad when they actually play within themselves.
The problem is that they go haywire every so often and it's
disastrous. When they all try to do too much, or are put into
positions that they can't handle, everything falls apart. We saw
that in the second game against Bingo, a truly awful team that
is barely at the D1 level. When we played outside ourselves, we
fell apart.
For example, JFR is electric when he takes advantage of the
opportunities that the defense gives him. But when he tries to
force those opportunities? Yeesh.
Gueye is really coordinated and devastating when he's in the
post. When he strays away and faces the hoop, we see his lack of
touch and he becomes a turnover machine. The team ran so much
better with Habwe in the high post against the zone.
I'm just singling them out because those are the two most
obvious, but you can go up and down the roster.
Positives? There are many. I mean, we're not an elite team in
this league but we're also not that far away either.
- I'm excited to watch Policelli and Greene grow and mesh
together the next two seasons. They have different games, but at
this level, they're gonna be really really good. Policelli knows
his limitations and plays to his strengths. His shot is just so
pretty to watch. When he gets hot? Damn. And Greene does
everything so well.
- Habwe and Sayles know exactly who they are as players and, at
this level, they're really good at it. I enjoy watching them
work the game. They're hard to handle.
- JFR is electric and is a gamer. And when he corrales it all
in, buckle up.
- Gueye is a game changer. He's such a problem defensively. I
just wish we simplified the game for him, and get him to work in
the post or in the dunker's position. Or as a rim runner. Let
his athleticism and size work for him.
- I feel like one of "The Hyphenates" is gonna step up soon.
LES, TPP and TSM have depth to their games. They're just stuck
in a numbers crunch. But if and when one pops, they'll
complement and even uplevel our rotation and make it easier for
them to take breaks. Depth is key with this type of schedule. We
need them.
