If anybody is surprised with this outcome, then they surely dont
know anything about Basketball or pay attention to teams. This
blowout is embarrassing to SBU and the AE conference but was
widely expected. People will remember and talk about this
blowout for some time.

sense. I dont think anyone is surprised by a team from the
America East getting trounced by a power five program in the
tournament.

Of course they should have gone. But to get your doors blown off

This broke about 4 hours ago, but Caroline McCombs has left SBU
to become the HC at George Washington, which plays in the A10...
I said teams were gonna come calling. Very happy for her getting
this opportunity, it's a big step up in every respect. Heilbron
said in a press release they'll commence a national search.
"GW has a storied tradition," McCombs said in a news release
from GW. "Having worked under Joe McKeown at Northwestern, I was
able to learn what a special place GW is. I look forward to
helping restore this program as contenders in the Atlantic 10
and across the country."

Left my computer open and forgot to send mine so yours published
before me and I look like the asshole copying 😂, oh
well.... Sad to see her go, always gave great answers in press
conferences, a good person on and off the court. She'll be
missed.

NOOO. It doesn't matter who posted the news first. I really like
McCombs. She was good for SBU and a great coach. I just feel
like the school is a revolving door for caches. And that won't
ever change unless this University gets out of this bottom
dweller of a conference, Why doesn't Chucky Cheese leave SB for
a better position. Oh, I know why. He sucks as an HC.

SBU should seriously look into the coach that McCombs is
replacing. Jennifer Rizzotti was a standout at UConn and is well
known in the AE having coached at Hartford for 17 years. Five
tournament championships, two regular-season championships,
three-time conference coach of the year at Hartford, and a
regular-season and tournament championship in five years at GW.
She was fired because, in the A10, that's not good enough, but
in the AE, that's good. She's a good recruiter too.

Not sure what to make of her. Can she recruit at a high level?
Time will tell.
