thus, my expectations have to change with it. the crunch is
here or coming and we have to adjust. it's not going to be the
same as 13 months ago.

No doubt the landscape has changed, and big time. Covid has
turned the world upside down, and although there are multiple
factors involved, NYS is no longer in a bullish, spending mode.
There will be less $ to go around, and if SBU athletics retains
all of its current programs, it will certainly be a coup imo.
More likely to see cuts ongoing.
Another unknown factor is President McInnis' orientation towards
sports. Although she comes from a big-time sports school, she
has nothing on her resume that indicates that she's
pro-athletics. So this is another TBD wild card.
If you turn the clock back a year, I would have predicted that
SH was destined to pick up and leave for a bigger program. Wow,
have times changed. In this current environment, I'm betting
that SH is happy to have a job, and perhaps even worried about
retaining his job (I'm guessing his contract is up soon). All
speculation on my part.
I've stated this before, but as far as coaches go, neither Geno
or Priore are going anywhere. SBU is not in a financial
position to buy these guys out for a lot of coin, and cannot
afford to consider upgrading to a higher level of coaching
talent.
[/quote]
And who's fault is that? Yup, SH.. Why did he give Ford such a
huge, lucrative contract when coach Boals left?? Do a two-year
contract and then reevaluate after that.

In 2019, SH pulled in a cool $425,714, pre tax. Since arriving
at SBU, Heilbron has earned a tad over $1.9 Million, pre tax
(not including 2020 earnings).

Gotta love the state of NY making all state financial records
open to the public. Wondering how much Hatch gets paid to kiss
Chuck's ass? Don't worry, you can search it via the link down
below (just click on payrolls, and click the X next to 2020 due
to most people not having filled taxes yet). Want to know how
much your dickhead of a professor made? Boom, right there.
Family members not spending a lot of money on holiday gifts, and
they work for the State? Check out how much they make... Hammer,
from what I've read, you were on the force for a long time,
guessing it was Suffolk or Nassau, not NYPD. NYPD salaries are
on that site as well.

Can't understand why Odom didn't move after upsetting Virginia a
couple of years ago. Sounds like SC might be his destination.
Becker has proved himself enough to earn a promotion too, IMO.

Andy Enfield turned the FGCU Sweet-16 run into USC. He's yet to
make it past the Round of 32, even then it took 2OT to knock off
UNC Ashville... Ryan Odom should've cashed in right after that
win.

Do the non con games from this year roll over? Hopefully we
could retain some guys we need some continuity. Not having to
scramble and bring in juco guys every year.
