4th time I saw the women play at the arena this season, so no
expert by any means with this team or the women's game in
general, but that looked like two evenly-matched teams to me. UA
had solid guards/wings, and I thought their post players were
better than SBU's. Felt like advantage SBU with
defense/toughness/hustle and with Hilaire at point, who just
seems on another level compared to other players with what she
can do.
SBU's shooting was DREADful. I imagine if they just shot
anything remotely close to their season averages this game would
have been an easy win. Hilaire looked like she was aiming her
shots. Advice that is applicable to the men's team too: there is
a big chunk of glass with a box on it behind the rim--practice
and use it for your short shots.
I imagine, too, having Pagan out is roughly equivalent to
Olaniyi's absence for the men. Tough to make up for that, and
wonder if she's slated to return?

I was actually going to write the same thing you just wrote.
Losing Pagan is the same as losing Olaniyi. I get that. But to
shoot 1-18, or whatever from the 3 is ridiculous, JV at best.
These girls weren't even hitting the rim with some of these
shots. I hope Pagan makes it back for Binghampton. But even if
she is back playing, will she be an asset on the floor. Olaniyi
clearly wasn't.

Women were very good today. Pagan was in a boot at the men's
game last night, and today she was back in action and looked
solid. Zeise essentially shut down the POY from Bing. Friday
should be a game to see.

Crazy. After nba decision, surprised that ncaa hasn’t followed
suit.

I just saw the Maines Tour bus leaving SBU about 1 hour ago. I
guess they are playing tomorrow
