We can look at our last result against UNH and feel pretty good
about coming out victorious. But while UNH is flawed, they have
been in some battles and have held court at home to the tune of
a 7-2 record this season. And we've struggled up there. In the
last three trips, we've had two- and three-point wins and also
       lost a close one.
So maybe my line is a little high.
I just can't help but think that UNH doesn't have the firepower
to stay with us. Guadarrama, Sutherlin, Martinez, all meh. But
these guys battle. They're second behind only Vermont in
rebounding margin, and they're holding teams to right around 40
percent shooting, which offsets their own shooting woes.
We manhandled them at our place, particularly in the second
       half. Sutherlin 1 for 10. Maultsby 1 for 9. Hopkins 2 for 10.
Lester 0 for 6. Carbone 1 for 6. As a team they shot just 16 for
67, not to mention 10 for 17 from the line.
I'm interested to see how our rotation continues to develop as
we hit the home stretch. I'm still struck by the 32 minutes that
TSM played, more or less sliding right in for Latimer after he
was a spare part in the early going. But he seems like somebody
who's more than capable of playing at this level both
offensively and defensively. And will Ochefu continue to dig
       into Otchere's time?
CoB will love this. In conference, we're 73 for 218 on threes
       (.335), 158 for 316 on twos (.500). That's a pretty notable
disparity. We fired up 29 threes in our loss to Bingo and have
shot 24, 20 and 17 of them in our last three, all wins.
I wonder if the POY battle comes down to that second SBU/UVM
game. As good as the numbers are for Lutete and Ellison among
others, it feels like that clash on February 20 is going to
determine who gets the 1 seed in the conference tournament as
well as the personal accolades. Then again, UVM has been burying
people since their loss to us, winning their last eight by an
average of 17.6 points. Our victories have not been as
convincing, so maybe we slip up.

Just clicked on the game feed. Man, at the start you talk about
two teams that look like couldn't throw a basketball into the
       ocean....

Wow. I hate to say it fellas but SBB sucks. Geno Ford is not a
good coach. This team has no chemistry whatsoever. Looks like a
bunch of div 3 kids out there.

       0-15 start. Unh pitching shutout thru 2 media TO’s. I don’t
       think I’ve ever seen that.

Quick, anyone: what's the worst start in D1 basketball history?
Do we have a shot at that?
