       we should probably move this over to the appropriate thread...
       good point- though, SB is so academically focused (which is a
       great thing- it's our strength) that they'll never change
       admissions standards to benefit student life or athletics- even
       though some of us here are aware that they are linked.  improve
       those, get better students.
       bottom line is if student happiness is enhanced, it's better for
       SB.  rising tide lifts all boats.  otherwise we'll always be on
       the list of most miserable schools to attend.

       sometimes we forget- this is amateur athletics- so it may very
       well be that stanley looked at chuck, said you graduate x%, run
       a clean program, hit your targets, etc.
       the pure sports fans of course think win win win- and that's
       fine- but of course it's much more than that.
       otherwise considering heilbron has fired before, i don't see why
       he wouldnt do it again.  i have my doubts the decision was
       purely his.  everyone has a boss!
