Schedule’s out per Ethan Tam ...
3/6: vs. Villanova
3/13: @ Delaware
3/20: vs. Maine
3/27: @ Albany
4/10: @ New Hampshire
4/17: vs. Rhode Island

Interesting schedule to say the least. It can range from 5-1 to
2-4 based on how teams shake out. Don't forget, SBU is adding a
Rutgers WR for the spring, making it I believe 3 transfer WR's
since last season.
I'm curious, and as a new guy here I want to get y'all's take,
does Ethan Tam ever actually put out the news before anyone
else, or is his stuff taken from other, verified sources?

“King, a running backs coach, was enticed. It was his favorite
type of football: ground and pound. Now, as he enters his sixth
year coaching Stony Brook running backs...“
Seems the offense will follow the same pattern as the past few
years...three runs up the middle and punt.

The coaching staff has to be smarter than that. Fields on his
own is a dynamic dual threat - taking after the skill sets you
see in the NFL right now of Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray and
Lamar Jackson – and their backs this year don't seem as
explosive as the past.

Sadly, yes. Because of that SB is losing hundreds of fans
support every year.

Clearly they're not, because if they were Carbone would have
been benched for Fields for the 2018 season among other things.
Coach P is a ground and pound dinosaur and always will be. Yes
teams that run the ball well tend to win, but come on man, it's
2020 not 1950. Spread the defense out and get an athletic QB who
can throw. Every QB has to be at least somewhat of a runner now.
The days of a statue like Peyton Manning sitting back there and
never running are long dead. Especially at the college level.
Friggin Daniel Jones is the leading rusher for the Giants for
instance.

the modern game- to me, is this simple- if you have mobile QB,
it's 11 vs 11.
if not, it's 10 vs 11.
isolate the DE, make him choose.

Very true.

Fields is mobile, he justs struggles with fumbles. A lot. Had at
least two goalline fumbles last season within the first five
games.
To the point of ground and pound, the running backs this year
are not big bruising guys. Not by a longshot. Lawton can sort of
fill that, but he's injury-prone, and a nightmare to deal with
on the sidelines and off the field. Seba is a really nice guy
and had a big game or two last year, but he's not an every-down
back. And Turner, not much to say. Looked guy in limited play at
Delaware. They're going to miss Isaiah White who graduated.
Tashawn Brinson hated it here, and Alex Indelicatto looked great
in the opening win against Bryant before the injury. Wanted to
transfer, no one offered him, idk if he's still at Stony Brook,
if he is, surely not on the roster this year.
