This is bad. A season with no Fall sports. What else is there to
do?

No way do I see SBU football chartering a flight to take the
entire team and staff to play FAU!! Think about it--that means
chartering a flight to take the entire team and staff to the
epicenter of coronavirus madness in SOUTH FLORIDA of all
places!! If the whole controversy is over safety and health,
that can't possibly make any sense.

yeah.
will cost us the $400k, but then again, won't have to spend. so
maybe it's a wash. depending on how you look at lost future
income and what we budgeted in.

Not happening. I really wish the NCAA would stop playing head
games with conferences, and just cancel all Fall sports. Stop
the BS already. We all know there wont be any sports until next
year. At some point..

Conferences are delaying the inevitable. The CAA has cancelled
league play, but teams can still schedule as independents, so if
we wanted to we could all still play each other, only as
independents not officially sanctioned by the league office.
Personally, I think all schools and conferences will wind up
cancelling football, with the SEC being the absolute last ones
to do so around the middle of next month is my guess.

JMU has announced that the CAA has told all 12 teams that if
they wish they can play an independent schedule in the Fall and
they plan doing that and will contact the CAA schools to see
who’s interested in playing them

That's all well and good, but mark my words. Nobody is playing
college football this fall.
