Dont forget about the looters, rioters, destruction of statues
and monuments, buildings, police precincts and vehicles.
Assaults against cops all over the country, etc.... Anarchy all
over the country. 2020, the year to forget for sure!!!

I can see who is watching OANN and Fox too much.. forgetting
about the mass incarceration, systematic oppression of black
people, structural racism, police brutality and Killing, and the
list goes on.
Obviously statues and monuments of confederate leaders are more
important to preserve history than their disgusting slavery
legacy... do you want Hitler’s statue to preserve history too?
You just miss the Great America where cops worked to keep white
safe, blacks obeyed order and accepted low status, rich kept the
money, and black players just shut up and played b-ball and
provided entertainment.

Right, people are going to be crying about the tearing down of
Confederate monuments- that is high on the list of people's
fears about 2020 not the >100k dead due to complete incompetence
from the federal government or the deaths of several unarmed
black people.
As a frontline worker (physician) and person of color, this year
has been one of the scariest times in my life. I am looking
forward to moving on from 2020.

People on this board really don’t want politics here. Please
keep that for other places you post.

I get that this is a fan forum and sports talk only.. but you
let this ex-cop Mr. Hammer with a lot of subtle racist
comments.. for example recently:

I read the article. They are #45 because of international
ethnicity. Say it ain't so. My son is an honor student at SCCC
is is looking to finish his undergraduate degree either at SB or
Binghamton. I told him go with Binghamton for his business
degree. He wont fit well with 45% of asians in his class rooms
at Stony Brook
[/quote]
Now lets replace asians with jews and blacks in that post:

Doesn't sound that nice.. right? his dislike for Asians at SBU
is too obvious from his other posts as well.. and he doesn't
even try to hide.. and we let him get away. Without these Asian
students doing bulk of our research work.. SBU wouldn't be where
it is status wise.. forget AAU or R1. God forbid we had an Asian
student fan who found his/her way to this board.. he/she will
never visit again.
And his constant diss at "Emperor" Cuombo" is also
overlooked...isn't that political?
Just saying

There are plenty of other forums and social media platforms for
sharing mostly unoriginal political opinions. Jumping onto the
SBU fan forum for that is a waste of energy. We need sports
back!

iBOsbu, it’s interesting that you stereotyped Hammer as an
“ex-cop,” as if you have a preconceived notion about a certain
group of people...yet you objected when Asians (or other groups)
are stereotyped. Interesting, and a bit hypocritical. But that’s
okay, because it’s further proof we all need to keep the
discussion to SB sports.

I’m getting back on topic as I see things right now the NCAA has
extended the dead period through 08/31/2020 which means no
recruit can visit any campus and no coach can visit any recruits
As a matter of interest the president of LIU decided to hire at
least two new coaches before she fired the ones that were on
staff and as a result this has infuriated many players who are
now looking to transfer
I know I’m in the minority but if we do have a season I think
SBU finishes 4th in the CAA
