I helped run the PAL Suffolk County HS Football All Star Game
last night at Sachem North and the SBU QB of the future Drew
Gutieri showed me why they wanted him. Drew is very mobile with
a strong accurate arm and a quick release and was the North
       Offensive Player of the Game.

Yeah, I read that. But I could see coach P holding him back to
his junior year to start. They still have Josh Zimmot in the
wings waiting. My motto is. Go with the best guy and not who has
more time. Politics 1+1 with SB. Trust me, I'm part of that
       system!!

I think Zamot is going to get a shot next because while Fields
is a tremendous athlete he’s not consistent so at the very least
Zamot becomes the backup and this is my opinion and I could be
dead wrong because I also like Cassidy

It almost doesn't matter which of the three play because none of
them will play up to their potential under this coaching staff
as it currently operates. That's just the truth.

I agree. I would like to see either one of those two start over
Fields. Fields could have turned into an amazing QB. He has all
the tangibles to be one, but under the existing coaching staff
at SB he is being held back. He has the size, smarts, speed and
accuracy to be a really good pocket passer.
SB needs a college-ready QB who is a day one starter right out
of high school who was already groomed and taught how to play at
the next level. SB coaching staff cant take a good QB and turn
him into a great QB, it wont happen. The problem with that is.
What kid with those skills wants to play for SB when they can go
to a big conference and be noticed.

That is sad to think that is the case and i really hope they
dont feel that way, but it quite possibly could be. :( :( :( :(

In my opinion the best QB’s SBU has had since Coach P has been
here were the 2 JC kids that he brought in as far as anyone else
I have mixed reviews Carbone should have been an HB, Fields was
probably one of the best athletes we’ve ever had however I think
he reached his ceiling and what you see is what you get, Cassidy
is a smart QB who is a team player first but with Fields here he
was only going to be used in a mop up role or if Fields was hurt
and Zamot is someone that will improvise all the time and I
don’t know if Coach P can handle that.
What has to happen is SH has to sit down with Coach P and tell
Him to stop calling the plays which we all know is not going to
happen. The OC is good but he has to be allowed to do his job
As far as Gutieri goes when I spoke to the receivers at the All
Star Game they all said that he was the best QB they ever played
with so there will be no excuses this time because again in my
opinion he’s best pure QB SBU has brought in out of HS

I just got back from the Suffolk County Awards Night and the top
QB Award went to Drew Gutieri and the top WR Award went to Cole
Bunicci who was also up for the top DB Award and the top
       Defensive Player Award.

Drew Gutieri is a really good QB and athlete but should he be
the one to win the Boomer Esiason award??? I'm not so sure.
Shoreham Wading River QB, Xavier Arline is a better QB and
athlete all around. Even Sayville Junior Quarterback, Jack
Cheshire should be next in line to receive the award. He broke
Jack Coans record for the most TD in one season. Oh, well. What
       do I know anyways!!
