How did GF land a stud like Roberts. He is the real deal.
       [/quote]
They both have Kent st connection. Could be that.

Olaniyi and Roberts make the Seawolves instand contenders next
       year.
I presume the Midwest connection has something to do with
Roberts coming here. Either way, I would love to be wrong about
this basketball team as I had little hope for them next year.
Olaniyi should be the best player in the conference next year
and Roberts may not be far behind.
JRod/Olaniyi/Roberts/Policelli/Gueye is a pretty damn good
       starting 5.

i still think sayles and habwe command starting spots, but that
could just be a stylistic thing at this point. we rotate in a
       lot of players.

Habwe is he still injured? If gueye returns policelli would
slide in nicely at the four spot didn’t enjoy him playing so far
away from the rim. Sayles i personally enjoy his game but he is
at his best when gueye is not on the floor with him. Team is
gonna have a lot of depth and talent hopefully geno can steer
them in the right direction lets just say I wont be shocked if
they once again fall short. Also i like Habwe’s game too as an
energy 6th man guy but they all will get minutes.

As long as Geno is the head coach, I will be scared that this
team will underperform. Doesn’t matter how much talent they have
       on the roster.

       From the Bonaventure board ...
“When Roberts arrived on our campus, he was ready, like all
transfers, to sit one year. Then he would be a bench contributor
for 25 minutes for next season or perhaps crack our starting
lineup at some point early on. Mainly because that’s what most
transfers were forced to do before this season. Sit and wait. He
       didn’t have a better option.
Also remember AR and his Kent teammates beat up on Bonas in
“secret scrimmages”, though we were short handed in one of them.
No doubt Roberts was confident he could be a big deal at SBU
       within a year of arriving.
That was before rules and opportunities changed.
He left Kent because they brought in players to challenge or
surpass him in the backcourt, according to my Kent contacts. He
wasn’t happy there, so he looked to a program like ours that
wanted him a couple years prior.
When it was more obvious with each passing game and practice
that he would not be a starter here for at least two years, AR
decided to spend his remaining eligibility as a starter at a
lower level. He did have a death in his family and went home to
Michigan during the break. That time away gave him a chance to
reassess and talk to family or whomever was in his ear. It’s a
no brainer for AR and all players to look for a better
situation— whatever they envision that to be — when you’re
taking about a two-year opportunity instead of just one. It’s
like this year at SBU never happened for him.
The new transfer rules plus the extra year both help and hurt
programs like ours and P6 schools as well... and they allow
players like Roberts to do a double take and say, “wait, I can
       do what?”
My final point is that Roberts never got to experience the magic
of the RC and the love of Bona fans. College hoops this season
resembled AAU. It was nothing like a normal season. There was no
fan emotion. No connection. No electric atmosphere that makes
Bona players say “we have the greatest fans” and also makes
opposing coaches say it’s a tough place to win. IMO that made it
easier for many college players to unplug and move on this
       year.”

Seems like a Low risk, Medium reward move. I don’t have high
       expectations of Roberts, unlike Olaniyi.

How many roster spots do we have open taking into account the
recent transfers in and out? I would love to get a pass first
point guard play maker who can set the tempo. Probably not
       available in low major.
