Big game today. Great test for new leadership. Team has not
beaten a team yet that last year's team did not beat. When we
beat Rutgers today the new era officially starts! Go wolves!!

Very nice road win today, first of season. Rutgers gave them
everything they could handle.
Unfortunately couldn't watch because I was working the women's
basketball game. Very happy with two productive lines of
midfielders, a little concerned with the offense shifting away
from Haun, as he got a couple of assists but no goals after
averaging a hat trick the first two games. Looks like a
conscious shift in emphasis which is fine as long as it keeps
producing.
We will be airing the Sacred Heart game at St. Anthony's on
Tuesday on WUSB 90.1 FM and wusb.fm, which is a big deal for me
since all three sisters and one of my brothers went there when
it was Holy Family, while three nephews, one niece and two
cousins are St. Anthony's alumni.
Though I'd be really stoked if we had a game at Chaminade some
day.

true- we just have a lot of options on offense (note that
harrell hasnt even played this year); i think this is why we
score, teams can't possibly scout grippe, pearson, mccannell,
anderson, white, pickel, armitage, kalbacher, etc. And then,
three more attackmen.
on that note, kaschalk has a knee and it didnt look good. might
need to slot someone in or make a move. hope he's ok.
also, desky looks like he has an upper leg injury. he had a
great day- so did conlon. they are different bodies so they
provide a really nice changeup at the draw.
offense really took advantage of multiple FO wins in the 4th,
and shot well. good job by this team to not panic when down 3
late. we scored 6 in 7 minutes; the RU goalie had the sun in
his eyes but still- we got it done. i think both conlon and
desky's goals were weak hand.
RU pressed us on the ride; we cleared near perfect- they were a
miserable 17/22 on clears.
RU is good; this is a nice win. gameball to conlon (10 wins in
the 4th!) and HM to matsuoka who worked his tail off today.
now for the bad- we almost blew it- we didnt seem to have a
great clock killing scheme, as our players clustered together,
and then during an EMO, clustered closer together!
BC, VT, UA, SB all win. UML loses to dartmouth (SB alum
callahan has them at 3-0!). GO SB
