beginning of Q1. grippe on the wing, reverses to pickel up top,
steps into a 13 yarder, 5 hole. 1-0 SB
HU fast break, philbin to tierney on the doorstep, low to high.
1-1
trading saves. lutfi sweeps, feeds opposite pipe to stopak,
high to high. 2-1 HU
stopak from x, question mark and feeds inside to forte. 3-1 HU
CVG wing dodge, bouncer pass to the high crease, mccannell low
to low. 3-2 HU
pearson pushing, SB flag. HU EMO, sykes crossfield feed to
forte up top, from 10 yards offstick hip. 4-2 HU
estrella gets a CT, GB, draws a flag. play on, mccannell up
top, CVG steps above the GLE and shoots sidearm from 8 yards,
near pipe. 4-3 HU
SB EMO, altman crosscheck. SB wins the draw.
TO SB, Q1 332
flag expires, but CVG on the wing, rolls under and back above,
hits the far corner. 4-4
SB flag, conlon delay. HU EMO, flag expires.
SB flag, reiter pushing. HU EMO, lowd late hit, SB flag. HU
EMO (2 men up), tierney up top, shoots low. 5-4 HU
cassidy flagged, slash. HU EMO, they hold it.

missed it, but haun scored. 5-5
mcdermott crosscheck, HU flag. SB EMO, flag expires.
white dodges, draws a flag. SB EMO, save & clear.
SB failed clear, tierney inside roll and low angle bouncer. 6-5

steinbach wing dodges under, overhand bouncer. 7-5 HU
transition, dugan to CVG on the wing, sidearm to the far pipe.

grippe draws a flag, mcdermott pushing. some extra curriculars,
altman shoves grippe in the helmet, another flag. kaschalk gets
unsportsmanlike.

bolly save and clear to o'leary, matsuoka crashes the crease,
estrella up top feeds matsuoka on the doorstep. 8-7 SB

EMO, HU save & clear.
mccannell flagged, slash. HU EMO, forte at x, hidden ball
trick, to philbin on the doorstep. 8-8
white wing dodges, gets under and over, shoots high. 9-8 SB
grippe inverts, wraps righty, beats his man, the slide, and the
keeper with a bouncer. 10-8 SB
stream froze again, but forte to stopak. 10-9 SB
SB flag, lowd slashing. conlon wins the man down faceoff, draws
a flag, goes back to the SB side.
Play-on clear to o'leary, navigates traffic in the crease, and
overhand bounce shot. 11-9 SB
HU flag, herber delay. SB EMO, flag expires.
anderson inverts, topside and shoots through a screen, low and 5
hole. 12-9 SB

beginning of Q4. conlon wins the draw, pancakes a defender with
his skull, down broadway, switches left, high bouncer in
traffic. 13-9 SB
o'leary CT, pickel draws the flag, altman high hit. SB EMO,
casey stuffs CVG point blank.
four TOs each team. feed frozen.
TO HU, Q4 742
bolly makes 3 saves, sabella knocks down a pass, and then a CT.
TO HU, Q4 456
ardry roll dodges, gets topside and shoots on the run from 11
yards, low. 13-10 SB
feed froze but tierney to steinbach. 13-11 SB
mccannell on the wing, dumps inside to kaschalk on the GLE,
scores in traffic. 14-11 SB
HU missing the cage. bolly offstick hip save. haun kills the
clock.
TO SB, Q4 010

team may have turned a corner tonight. not perfect, but we kept
our composure and defense locked down in the 2nd half.
defense first: subtle, but estrella approaches the GLE at the
proper angle, saving a goal- good coaching and lax IQ. dugan's
slide timing kept hofstra's dodgers at bay. opposing SOG %
continues to be bad (~50%), so we take angles away. matsuoka's
speed and hustle won us a possession we should've lost. bolly
of course is bolly.
hof looked a little gassed by the 4th, its likely their pace of
play in the first half. similarly, tierney (who is a star)
fired off the desperation shots in the 4th, same as the recent
nova game. they were hail mary types.
on to offense- 11 different scores. CVG is multi-tooled and
looks like he improved overnight. grippe creates- and good
composure by the veteran for not getting sucked into a
fistfight. that pearson didnt score and haun had 1 is an
indication of depth.
conlon with more experience will be good for us. he's starting
to win the draws clean- and scored- lefty. deskewicz is a nice
change-up too.
the refs were off tonight. i could tell that with so many flags
so early, and a 6-5 trail, we would eventually pull ahead.
bingo, UML, and hart lose. GO SB
