Geno Ford named interim coach, probably going through the
motions. The more I hear and read about timing of Boals’
departure, the more I wonder if this wasn’t in the works for
awhile, and if Boals’ heart may have been missing in the Bing
       game. Guess we’ll never know.

the growth of their football program (and subsequent move up the
conference food chain) makes it tough for basketball. But that
said, Bulls basketball hasn't delivered in its 40-plus years of
       existence.
       >
       > South Florida has made the NCAA tournament three times and has
won only two tournament games, both in 2012. Even that 2012
season wasn't worth getting excited about as a) the Bulls won
with a very hard-to-watch defensive style that kept scoring in
the 50s and lower and b) it was followed by six straight seasons
of 19 or more losses. USF has won only two conference titles,
making its quest to gain respect a harrowing one.

I was wondering why we have participated in CBI few times but
never in CIT. I did a quick research and it seems there’s pro
and con for each tournament. CIT is restricted to Mid-Major
teams with more than .500 record. CBI is less strict but often
includes High-Major teams from Bball power 6 conferences. For
       example West Virginia and DePaul.
Anyway... perhaps Ford can win this whole damn thing and make
       this his job full time.
       Go Seawolves.

Would have loved and NIT bid, but that wasn't likely to happen
and probably for the best. I think we could really go on a
decent run in this thing if the guys are focused.

Classless move by the coach to leave before the season is over.
Good riddance. We will probably go through the motions and come
up short, but at least the guys get to enjoy a little time in
       Tampa. I hope I'm wrong.

South Florida is a 6.5 point favorite in Vegas.

I'm hoping the guys win a couple games, and Geno Ford coaches
his way to the head coaching gig
