Don't think I've seen statistics this season, but I do know in
the AE that SBU has drawn good crowds in general, often or
usually the top in attendance for men's basketball if I recall.
And listen, I know people can do whatever they want and we live
in different times, but my pet peeve is when season seat holders
don't go (or don't give away/sell their seats to those who will
go) which can make the place look less than full. Or....and I
know, you can easily argue "sour grapes" here....but those in
attendance who mingle with the food and drink and big screen TVs
among their VIP friends in the room where I am never invited.
Yeah, yeah, I'm just a regular guy when I go in a regular seat
eating regular hotdogs. Call me old-fashioned, but try to fill
your seat and sit in it with at least some modest support for
       the home team!
       Okay, stepping off my soapbox....
Good on SBU with the win last night, and I hope for a good,
enthusiastic crowd Saturday, hopefully Tuesday, and for the very
remote chance of the Saturday championship. As usual, have to
assume UVM is the obvious favorite in the tournament, but I give
SBU as good or better a chance to upset as anyone. If I'm UVM, I
think I'd be a tad nervous with among UMBC or SBU or maybe even
the Giant Killer Will Brown in a final.

I didn't get to see any of this game as I'm on the west coast
traveling, but I was relieved when I saw that we got the W. What
I'm wondering is how are Latimer and Cornish?? I'm hearing
injury talk around Latimer, and did Cornish get hurt too? Either
       would be a big loss.
That said, this why I'm glad we have depth. Moor or Garcia could
fill in for Latimer if need be. Despite Miles not playing the
best lately I'd still want him able to play. Despite that, we
have a real shot at the AE this year. If we win the AE
tournament we'll get a school record for wins in the process.
This season has been amazing as I never expected anything
remotely close to this back in October. Go SB!!

       About Albany.
If they win, there's an excellent chance Vermont gets them in
the second round and not in the final. The America East reseeds
       each round.
So, if the favorites and Albany win:
       #1 Vermont
       #2 Stony Brook
       #4 Hartford or #5 UMass-Lowell
       #6 Albany
That's how it would play out. Albany vs. Vermont in the semis.
Stony Brook vs Hartford or UMass-Lowell in the other.

Ah yes, reseeding in the case of upsets. So, yes, more likely if
UA upsets in the first round that UVM would play them in the
       semis....unless (gulp) Bingo upsets SBU.
One game at a time, as they say. And just me, or since the new
best-team-at-home format have we not really had any wacky upsets
in the AE tournament like we'd frequently get in the old days. I
guess that's the point from the league perspective--try to send
your "best" team to the NCAAs. I don't know, I'd like to see
things get a bit crazy, as long as SBU benefits of course.

Interesting in the semis Albany vs Vermont . Will Brown goes
deep to coach this time of year and manages to pull off amazing
upsets . Hopefully Scooby knocks off the Catamounts
