I understand that and hundreds of other announcers get excited
too during the game. I just think funny!!!

Carl Reuters is a Long Island High School Sports icon. He did
H.S. sports on local Long Island cable for years. He's truly a
great guy, and has a unique style, which isn't for everybody.
He is passionate for SBU, and that certainly gets a thumbs up
for me. I think he/Pav, make a great team. Just my opinion.

I think Pav and Carl are a good local combo. Pav knows his hoops
inside and out and Carl keeps it interesting on the play by
play. (My neighbor criticizes their Long Island accents...I
don't hear it at all :) )

IMO, there's only 1 accent worse than lawnguyland OR joisey, and
that's Brooklyn and Queens accents. I married the latter.
Pav definitely with a LI accent, but being a native LI'er, he is
the norm for me.

Just occurred to me that the kid who won smoothies for his
entire row made as many threes last night as the entire UMBC
team.

Btw, since we strayed into talking about sbu announcers, does
anyone know what happened to Curt Hylton, long-time sbu
announcer, who always did a great job?
