I agree Delaware is not going to be a walk in the park for us.

We're not even going to be favored I imagine, but after last
year I really want this one and the team does too. Additionally,
a win pretty much makes us locks for the playoff (committees
tend to prefer teams with big wins over teams with bad losses).

Its going to be a tough game no doubt. I also expect a lot of
       Delaware fans.
I hope we show up in numbers and back up our seawolves!

I say this weekend's game is a MUST win. If we don't beat
Delaware, we won't have a single great win on our resume. Rhode
Island is a decent win, and UNH doesn't look like a total
cupcake win after Saturday's result, but if we don't beat
Delaware, we would have gotten beat by every great team we've
played this season. Villanova and Richmond are no longer the
great wins we once thought they were, and we didn't look at all
competitive against Air Force. Beating Albany at year's end
won't be enough. If we don't beat Delaware on Saturday, this
team is sitting home come Thanksgiving weekend. If anything, it
would be better to beat Delaware and lose to Albany than the
opposite. At least the former shows the committee we can beat a
good team. The must win nature of this game should be all that
Coach P needs to motivate this team. Go SB!!

WOW. Hero Sports is prety hard on our beloved Seawolves. " It
was time to move a CAA team out of the bracket, and Stony Brook
was the only logical choice here. I'm on record saying I think
the Seawolves are a playoff-caliber team, but it's tough to deny
that, as things lay right now, SBU is the least deserving CAA
       team."
I cant argue here. Stony Brook is not a threat with Carbone
behind the line!!! Bottom line. Put a half decent QB in and SB
       would be seeded around 5.

SB has just one win against a team with a winning record. They
have to beat Delaware and Albany to merit a playoff spot.

But Delaware has also been inconsistent, as its last six
       football games indicate.
Delaware had 421 total yards against Richmond, 319 against Elon
       and 340 against Towson.
But the Blue Hens also managed just 152 at North Dakota State,
177 at New Hampshire and 268 in Saturday’s 21-16 win at Albany.
Of that, a major chunk came on the 11-play, 83-yard drive that
ended with Kani Kane’s decisive 14-yard touchdown run with 18
seconds left as Delaware managed to barely thwart Albany’s upset
       bid.
Coach Danny Rocco had suggested after Saturday’s game that
Delaware was perhaps “a little bit too predictable” at times. In
explaining that further Monday, Rocco said Delaware stayed
fairly basic with its offensive strategy.
“I didn’t feel we really blocked very well when you come right
down to it,” Rocco said of Saturday's game. “I thought they beat
us to the punch a little bit, getting off the ball. I thought
they were a little more physical at the point of attack and I
thought they played with a little more passion on defense than
       we did on offense.
“Those three things are not a formula for success when you are
wanting to establish a run game.”
Windy weather made passing the football a bit more difficult at
Albany, with 56 of Pat Kehoe’s 174 yards throwing coming on that
       final series.
Wide receiver Jamie Jarmon, who has missed three games with a
leg injury, is likely to miss a fourth this week.[/quote]
