I actually found that to be encouraging. Although Fordham is
rotten, they do belong to the A-10, and having a 7-point lead on
them into the second half is a great sign - especially if we
       learn from the collapse.
Hearing the great reports about Olaniyi, Latimer and Otchere is
phenomenal. We know Akwasi will be a stud. And if Cornish has
matured, we're looking at something special - soon.
We all know this, but because of our youth, we're gonna be so
much better later in the year than we are right now.

I agree Steve I think by the time conference season rolls
around in January we could be running on all eight cylinders.
I do see some good wins in our non conference schedule if we gel
       early.

Worth noting ... GW and Fordham are in the same paragraph as far
as where they ought to finish in the A-10.
FWIW, KenPom has us going 15-15, 9-7 in conference, good for a
third-place tie with UMBC. I realize this is all stat-crunching
but still, not too shabby with such a young group.

       > Fordham board that you guys won the 1st half by 4 and were

Was told we won the first half by 4 and came out in the second
half leading by 7 then downhill from there. Guys taking their
foot off the gas. Fordham's coaching staff admitted(in private).
our Roster looks more talented than theirs. For what it's worth
they play in a conference a lot better than ours so that's a
credit to the recruiting by our staff.

I agree that you probably are better than the Rams. They might
be a member of the A10, but there’s a difference between that
and being a competitive A10 team. I believe your KenPoms have
been better than them for the majority of the past few years.

       "#5. Stony Brook– DARK HORSE
Year 3 under Jeff Boals feels like a big one, as the Seawolves
look to rebound from a down 2017-18 campaign. At the top of the
list of priorities is improving an anemic offense– SBU shot an
ugly 42% from the field and 33% from downtown last season.
Junior Akwasi Yeboah is a proven scorer who scores it at all 3
levels, but help around him is necessary. Perhaps a big jump is
in store for sophomore wing Elijah Olaniyi, a tenacious defender
who showed flashes on offense last season. Meanwhile, freshman
Miles Latimer has gotten high marks from multiple talent
evaluators, and he comes from a pair of excellent programs in
Paul VI and Team Takeover. Where there shouldn’t be any question
is the defense, as an already-stout unit adds gigantic JUCO big
Jeffery Otchere, an elite rim protector who should anchor the
       post."

Certainly a fair and tempered view of the upcoming season. Glad
he mentioned our big 2 acquisitions. Lots of youth in this
league. With the exception of Hartford, not sure how any team
can be gauged yet this early on.

actually setting foot on campus once.
for Ss & Gs, RuTgers is at 129. and we know how that game went
       last year.
