I may have underestimated Umass Lowell in the men's race. The
race coverage was OK until the end where they didn't show the
finish line. Waiting for team scores.

And the women finished second behind Albany.
A disappointing finish for both teams I'm sure. Still a strong
showing though.

Freshmen XC and track and field athlet Noah Farrelly was hit by
a car while crossing Nicolls road Tuesday. There seem to be
conflicting reports, but this tweet seems credible indicating
that he's in the trauma unit at stony brook hospital.
There's a gofundme for his family here:

What a performance by the men yesterday! A little bummed that
Avery or Moffett couldn't beat Alfond, but if you get beat
running 23:40 for a 8k you just have to tip your hat.
Absolutely blown away by Luke Coulters performance yesterday.
Stony Brook's 800 meter school record holder finished 4th at
cross country conference championships running 24:04 for 8k?!
VERY excited to see what Coulter does in indoor and outdoor
track. And thats whats so impressive about mens team's
performance. A lot of these guys are middle distance runners.
Coulter, Becker, Kelly, Malanaphy, and Smyth I suspect would all
consider themselves middle distance runners. These guys are
going to score a lot of points for Stony Brook in indoor and
outdoor. And the freshman Evan Brennan is having a monster
freshmen season. He was a good recruit for Andy Ronan, but he's
made a massive leap in just his first couple of months in
college running.
Very excited about these guys.

Want to give the men here a shout out on winning Stony Brook's
first conference title in the CAA. Also the signing they just
announced is likely the best recruit they've ever landed. Coach
Ronan continues to deliver
