We added a really good RB today when Jadon Turner from
Rochester, NY committed
We also have added 7 Preferred Walk-ons as soon as I get the
okay I will release all their names

I saw Marcus Velez from Ward Melville committed to Stony Brook.
Any thoughts on him Hammer? Also any word on where JJ Laap is
going? His 11 interceptions this fall sounds intriguing.

Marcus Valez has the best hands this SB team has ever seen as a
TE. He is strong, tall but he is slow. Awesome kid. His hands
are better than Will Tye, no joke...SB would be so ever lucky to
grab JJ Lap.Another kid I love. Great parents with both of them.
I still dont know where he is committing, but dont be surprised
if he goes FBS, but I hope SB grabs him. again, probably would
go in as safety or CB, also kick off return specialist.

In addition to Velez SBU is also getting QB Trey Berry who was
supposed to go play Lacrosse at Utah but will come here and play
football

I was told Trey Berry was given a preferred walk-on to play WR
and NOT QB.. I dont get it. Ive known Trey forever and he never
caught a single pass. Bizarre.
Meanwhile, JJ Lapp gets no offer from coach P but yet he was NYS
top defensive player with the most interceptions.. Again, i
don't get it..

It's pretty typical for high school qbs to move to WR. He
probably doesn't have the arm strength to play qb in college.

My guess, Berry will eventually be on the lax team at SB. Berry
has great athleticism, just needs to work on the stick skills
and add a few pounds.

Next week is the 2nd NSD and SBU has 8 players from the All LI
HS Football Team committed for the 2019 Class.

How many are on scholarship. I know Keith Winfrew from WM is,
who else?

I believe it's Winfrey and Driver from Floyd, Kaler from
Sayville and Jackson from Freeport with Berry and Velez from
Melville, Millione from Carey and DL from CSH as walk-ons
