we loose this one fairly close... We showed a better product
than last week over BC.

The Seawolves shot 26% from the field. I suppose you can say the
game was somehow better than against BC, but really....this
sucks!

I think that we played better despite the bad shooting than in
the BC game. WE were able to get to the Free Throw line and make
most of them. That's progress. But, the lack of shooting in this
team is serious issue.

Watching the game while studying for chemistry, wishing i was
there. 26-31 at the Half. A pair of Dougher three pointer got us
right back into the game after not scoring for a while. Stony
Brook seems to have a 5-10 minute offensive slump in every big
game. I'm glad they got the slump behind them, at least i think.
Ready for second half action. Go Brook!
E... good luck w the studies...u have your priorities in order!
Some good things today, shooting is what it is, but feeling
pretty good heading into conf play.

As disappointing as the Seawolves have been so far, the AE
conference has been abysmal this season...the worst I can
remember. The conference's RPI is dead last, and three teams
(UMBC, Bingo, Hartford) are a combined 1-27 despite having three
of the easiest schedules in the nation.

When you shoot 26% from the field, you aren't going to win
games. Not counting Mount Ida, we haven't scored more than 70
pts in a game. There are 140 teams that average more than that
per game. Thats bad.
I think that the problem is our guys are way to passive. It's
almost like nobody wants to shoot the ball. Dribble-drives are
non-existent in their offense, and Joyner seems like he has no
desire to try and play a power forward post game. He catches,
turns to face the basket, then tries to make a small forward
move (which doesn't work).
We need someone to step up and take control of the point guard
position. Bracey seemed like a great fit, but until he gets
into game shape (or up to game speed, not sure exactly why he's
struggling so much), someone else needs to make a play.
I like the idea of having Cooley run a 1-3-1 style offense.
Drive the ball, kick out to Dougher or Hayes for a three, get it
to Brenton at the elbow, or slide to Joyner underneath.
Regardless, they got to get more aggressive, or it's going to be
a very long year.

Plenty. We're ranked no differently across the board compared to
2010-2011. SBU is playing like a shooters team - streaky.

I Just want SBU to get out of the AE honestly... I know our team
is not good.... But I just don't think being in the AE will help
get us to a better position anywhere in the future...
I wish a northeast conference would exist with the top state
universities of each respective state in the north east... gotta
keep dreaming!
Massachusetts-Amherst
Connecticut
Maine-Orono
New Hampshire
Vermont
Rhode Island
Stony Brook
Albany
Buffalo
...This would be beautiful but imposible: One plays at the D-IA
BCS, two at the D-I FBS, five at the D-I FCS, one at D-I
non-football.... fml
old Yankee Conference + 3 SUNYs
(This is not the place for this post. These are the random
thoughts that I have which are very far from reality)

I was there yesterday and it wasn 't pretty. They did show
momnets when they looked very good and then they just went into
a funk. Brenton did have a double - double yesterday 11points
and 11 rebounds.
