Let’s face it, the Cats were bigger, stronger, smarter, and more
talented than us. The fouls absolutely killed us and our
graduating seniors didn’t show up tonight unfortunately. Let’s
hope Vermont can do some damage in the Tournament as a # 13.

During that rough stretch when it looked like SBU was toying
with the 7/8/nowhere seed for the AE tournament, we would have
all probably taken a win against UA and out. So that's what we
got!
SBU had to be great to even have a chance, and they were
certainly not even close to that. If my math is about right, SBU
seniors were 2 for 23. Brutal. Well, they each offered a few
bright moments along the way during their careers, but as
Checkmate said I guess they were all just role players and not
capable of leading this team this year. I hope wherever the road
goes from here for them, it's a good one.
Feels like there is some promise for next year. I'll be back to
see. Olaniyi looks like the real deal, and I'm still positive
about McKenzie. Hope Ochefu puts in the work, as it feels like
there is more we can see from him. Of course Yeboah should be a
first-team anchor to it all next year.
Thanks for all the smart commentary here throughout the year. My
attention turns to pro baseball now, and I vow to see SBU play
as well if the weather ever warms up. Until about November, all.

Vermont's Seniors shined and our Seniors stunk up the court .
Get ready for November and put this season behind us .

5 seniors: 2-23 FG, 1-2 FT for 5 points
5 returning players: 17-34 FG, 9-12 FT for 46 points

No Almonacy, no Long, no Garcia. I'd bet good money that we've
seen the last of at least one of them.

Yes, thanks to Checkmate all season and all the valuable
commentary from everyone. Appreciate how nice and civilized
everyone has been on this board. And good luck to the Seniors
in their post-college careers. I’ll be into the NCAA Tourney,
and then like Fred, onto baseball and my Yankees.

Was busy and missed the game, but based on this thread, that's a
blessing in disguise. If it's as bad as you all make it out to
be, we're lucky the score was even as "close" as it was.
Anyway, we had some near wins over great programs and had some
high moments in the Rutgers win and ending Albany's tournament
chances on their own floor. Those are enough small wins to at
least feel ok about this program heading into the offseason. I
think we could really make some noise next year.

Thanks again Checkmate for your great insight posting before
each game. Looking forward to seeing your post next season..
It's sad that our seniors went out of this season a total dud.
Clearly, it has everything to do with the departure of Pikiell .
I think the chemistry between Boals and Sturdivant, Garcia,
Sekunda, Almonancy was just not there. Typical whenever you
have a coaching change..But yet Yeboah had no issues adjusting
to coach B style of playing.. I think either Garcia or Almonancy
transfer, or both.. On the flip side. There is good reasons to
be optimistic about next season. Yeboah and Olaniyi are going to
be quite impressive next and with the incoming freshman class
coming in, SB should be just fine..

It was a brutal game VA. You didnt miss a thing..I did walk away
from the TV for about 10 minutes when things started unroll and
i saw SB had 7 fouls in the 2nd haf with only 5 minutes into the
game. I knew it was over at that point..

44 fouls in 40 minutes of play. A foul a minute. The college
game has become a free throw shooting contest.
