Well we are playing with house money at this point. Go up to
Vermont and have some fun. Given how poorly we played at points
in the season, getting to the semis was not a given. Plus the
season feels like a success with us knocking Albany out. You
never know what happens in the postseason. The crazy thing is
that there were a lot of places the team could have played
better. Sturdivant did great on the glass but had no offense all
game. Sekunda didn't contribute at all until late. We could
       definitely play better.
Cremo is a great player though. Albany graduates some solid
players- I am not going to miss Stire. Olaniyi is going to be a
stud. If we can snag a solid big man next year I'm very bullish
       about this team.

but id rather have his presence in the paint than no one, and
also even if he is the only post player and backs in with the
same righthanded baby hook, ill take it if it means we arent a
       one dimensional team.

Yep. He and Ochefu better be ready to go, and Sturdy is going to
have to do some time at home in the paint against Vermont bigs
if they're going to have any chance.

It went against us all game until the final 5 minutes.
       [/quote]
Yeah, I'd have to agree, especially with some of those earlier
ticky-tack fouls off rebounds. The hanging on rim by Saintel
was just horrible, and we must have seen it 4 or 5 times after.
Of course, UA is going to complain about the McKenzie backcourt
and that Cremo travel - one a bad no call, and the other a bad
call, but that's part of the game. Clearly, we won all facets
of the game, and withstood that big run that cut our lead to 1.
Charles seemed to run out of gas in the 2nd half, and Cremo and
Nichols were basically playing a 2-man game, with everyone else
       standing around.
Some timely FT shooting tonight; so glad to see it. Awesome
rebounding, especially from Sturdivant. I'll take 0 points and
13 rebounds from him any time. The 3 heaves though just baffle
       the imagination.

He picked up his 2nd foul 5 minutes in, but he was out there
again with about 11 min left in the half. When we built the
lead back to 8, Boals sat him again, which I think was prudent.

read over at the AE bball forum that it wasnt hanging on the
rim, it was slapping the glass (?). which i didnt see but makes
sense because he wasnt on the rim long enough. i dunno because
i watched with the sound off.

in hindsight, that uninspiring loss to UML was a real low point.
have to say i did NOT see a road win against UA coming!!!
i was excited to see ochefu getting the start but then scant
minutes. again, putting my 2019 hopes on him and christie...

Great team win and clutch FT's by Sekunda and Saintel in the
last minute. Nice to see the seniors close it out.
I give SB a puncher's chance in Vermont.

Really happy about this win, and love the way this team is
playing right now. It took awhile, but things are really started
to click. Vermont better not sleep on them..

Mckenzie had his best game of year. Settled us down, made easy
plays, 6 assists, took it from Cremo in 1 on 1 situation in
first half and almost did again late in game. Has 29 or 30
       assists in last 8 games to 4 or 5 turnovers. That’s 6 to 1
assist to turnover ratio, best in conference for those games and
we are 5-3 in those games.

McKenzie has been great. He was also covering Nichols for most
of the game who went for 2-15 from the floor.
He might not ever be a first team all-conference guy, but he's a
true point guard and there are not many of them in the AE
