OH NO!! What a shame! I expected this to finally be his
breakout year, especially as hard as he has worked in the gym
for his recovery. Is this the same knee as his ACL? Did it
look like a knee or ankle?

OH NO!! What a shame! I expected this to finally be his
breakout year, especially as hard as he has worked in the gym
for his recovery. Is this the same knee as his ACL? Did it
look like a knee or ankle?

I have no idea what the scale of the injury is but it was a
sizable brace – definitely his knee, not his ankle. And it was
his RIGHT knee that kept him out of action before. I'm hoping
it's something minor.
Where's Newsday when you need them? Would the Lexington Herald
Leader cover an injury like this at UK?

Just got some info that Garcia's injury wasn't as serious as it
may have looked, and it was to the other knee (i.e. not the one
with the ACL tear). Word is that he will be in practice
sessions and that Coach B. is anticipating that he will be a
major contributor this season. Can anyone confirm?

For whatever it's worth, I saw him at halftime during the last
football game walking around, joking, and he looked fine to me
with no sign of a brace or other noticeable limp/injury.

FWIW, College Sports Madness came out with previews on teams in
its Top 144. Vermont came in at #106 and is the predicted AE
representative in the NCAA Tournament, while Hartford was ranked
#134.
I'm not a big CSM guy – my impression is it's just a bunch of
kids making peanuts, if anything, to add a line on their resumes
and some clips to their portfolio. There's not a lot of meat to
these. But nevertheless, it whets the appetite for college hoops
talk a bit.

Our team is young and we are adding 5 new faces that weren't
here last year. So if Boals can get them organized and playing
on the same page we could be very good going down the stretch in
February . This is probably the biggest team we ever had for
sure. Next season we could be very good off eh boards and
shooting .

I'm fine with everyone sleeping on Stony Brook this year.
Call me an optimist, but I see a very young team that's a year
older than last year's, except with high-level recruits that
fill in the gaps from what we were missing. I see two bonafide
America East stars in Yeboah and Olaniyi, and two recruits in
Latimer and Otchere that can get there. I see a deep bench with
interchangeable parts. I see a coach that I'd pick over anyone
in the league (maybe outside of Will Brown). And I see an
expectation of winning that was set by previous Seawolves teams
that has been passed down into the lifeblood of this younger
group.
So go ahead with all the Vermont and Hartford love. They deserve
it too.
We'll just be sitting here in the bushes, waiting for our turn
to strike.

I expect us in the Top3 of the AE even with the newbies. Two
good but not overwhelming games in George Washington and South
Carolina to open with . We could get a split right off the bat
in November.
