Bel-Haines had something to do with this. I don’t need him to
score; just high on the Assists and low on the TO’s. Right now
I’d play him over Cornish, who’s TO + Foul total always seems to
       exceed Assists+Points.

I am on the fence with McKenzie. lets see if he improves next
season.. I think he is ok with ball distribution but he is
horrible with scoring points.. This is Div1. You should be doing
it all at this level. Like i said. Time will tell with him and
he could improve dramatically over the seasons!!

i do have my doubts... but yes, encouraging.
stats are in- we only missed about 500 shots this year from
       behind the arc.
PS the ladies won 5 straight and are looking good at 10-6, tied
       for 3rd.
checkmate- thanks again for all you do- year after year.

Too bad the women don't follow the men's format for playoffs, as
I assume that would give SBU a home game (and maybe a few folks
would show up?). I suppose still a shot at them hosting the
championship game, if things work out with some upsets.
Let me add a big thank you to Checkmate as well, for all the
insightful info and getting things rolling with each game!

too. And I also think, because I wouldn't have the foggyist
otherwise, that most players are probably putting out and
improving at a rate about what they're capable of. The real gist
of all this probably goes right back to recruiting and who SBU
can realistically get to come here.

gets two players to have higher-impact games (primarily with
points I'd say, and that would include the small group of
Yeboah, UC, Olaniyi, maybe Saintel and very maybe Cornish) and
if pretty much everyone else is serviceable, they can win on
       Saturday and then who knows.

game, bigs are completely non-serviceable, other "shooters" put
up oh-fers and the team is a non-serviceable 35% or below...)
       they are done after Saturday.

this is helpful. im with OldSeawolf on keeping Petras on. i'd
rather have a big body in the paint, then no one in the paint.
if we dont, then Brown knows to just pack in a zone and let us
miss threes for 40min. what are the odds we sink more than 8 of
these AND its enough to hide our mistakes and win the game?
AVM is right on- if you only look at the production, you're only
looking at half the game. we should also focus on a player NOT
       making mistakes.
it's obvious what we have going- some confidence built off of
very recent flashes of good play. need to keep it going. GO SB

Anyone have any news on UC's availability for Saturday? I know
he was seen on campus today on crutches.
